If it was a spark plug. Why after we changed the plug wires would we be getting 2 new cyl misfires?? New cables exposed other bad plugs...maybe??

I'd replace all the plugs first because it's the cheapest and then the wires and then the coil packs. My buddy's expedition was misfiring and it turned out the coil packs weren't sealing correctly

I just finished mine the other day. Here is a great walk through on how to do it. I decided to make mine shallow so instead of filling in the gaps, I cut mine off shallower and it cut the job time in half.

Yea I totally didnt pay att to his name to hint he does not have a 1st gen lol

Also after we cleaned all the plugs and put them back in is when we got the 2 new cyl misfires. It is no longer throwing any codes but its still running terrible and backfiring a little while idling.....guess im gonna just have to wait till I can afford new plugs to continue diagnosing it..

Well I have replaced the spark plugs and wires. Still ran terrible but wont throw any codes to see if anything has changed. I disconnected and reconnected the battery to try and reset it and get it to throw some codes but now it tries to crank but wont start....any ideas on what I should try next? Im completely stumped and too broke to take it anywhere...

I have not checked the fuel filter. We did try another spare MAF and nothing changed. The issue started a day after I got back from a long interstate driving trip pushed it the hardest i have yet. The next day about a mile down the road I started braking and had the ac on full blast and it just went to shit. I did put a full tank from almost empty in it before the trip and im a little below half tank now so I dont think its bad gas. It would be easier to diagnose if i could get it to throw a code but for some reason it wont.

It's hard to tell real good in the video but did you check & make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks , it almost sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere
