they stopped putting those nets in the trucks in 2009. i went down and bought one for $12 from my dealer.

 

Rolled over 180000 miles today and picked up some 4" channel and 20' of angle iron for a bumper build easy and simple hopefully

Picked up my new 2014 Double cab TRD off-road at the dealership. Then picked up 2 tons of hay from the field. Gotta go back saturday for 2 more tons (even Tacomas have a towing limit).

Yes, they took the heat for it and are paying for the $2200 paint and body repair. Plus they are going to replace all the Rack parts that bounce checked.

As far as blame, they are blaming ARE for it. ARE assembled the rack and installed it on the shell at the factory. They told me they would probably just eat it since they don't want to stir the pot with ARE. In my opinion the install shop should have checked all the parts for security. It is what it is...

Now I say all this as I am supposed to pick it up today after the body shop calls. When I go to pick it up and if the bill is paid It's all good. If I have to pay then I'll get really pissed... I don't see that happening honestly but you never know.

Since I am looking at buying a 21ft camper through them I think they want to keep my business for now.

 

I plastidipped my lower valance yesterday. I have seen others do it and like the look, only took about 30 minutes or so. Came out pretty good I think. Now I just need to add a light bar to to the slot and call it a day.

 

Replaced my OE floor mats with Husky Liner weather beaters.

 

Let me rephrase that... Add an led light bar and be done with the front for now. Until I get a plate bumper, replace the fogs, add winch, skewped hood and maybe a different skid plate.

 

Stuck an earplug in my keyless chirp ....another expensive high-tech mod.

 

Built a "component" protector / concealer.
