It's not going anywhere. I just need to quit modding it for a while if I want to buy something different.

Just installed my oil catch can, idles a "LOT" smoother. If you have a 3.4 V6 this should be a must do mod! Pics to come later.

I have no intentions of selling this one. My neighbor was working pretty hard to buy it, but I won't let it go. I wish it was green though! It's my favorite 1st gen color.

Tell me more, why does that fix the rough idle? Is it tough to install and/or expensive?

Not sure why it's smoother but Chris (StAndrew) installed his said his was considerably smoother so I purchased one and installed it and he is right. Not overly expensive, My catch can was $90 and I purchased 6' of tubing and made a brasket out of scrap aluminum. I have about $100 in mine Chris I think got his for around $35 so price depends on the can you purchase. Wish I had done this sooner.

That's my old one. I'm glad it's in another state that I never go to so I don't have to see it around town.

Catch cans are a waste unless you have forced induction...

Chances are something in his evap system was not working correctly. That it idles "better" is either just coincidence or he bypassed the problem somehow with the catch can.

With fi they are actually useful since you have increased crank case pressure beyond what the oem evap system was designed for.

I doubt I have any issues, I'm pretty sure there are only a handful of trucks that are in the shape mine is in and is taken care of like mine. Chris said it made a difference so I bought one installed it and it does make a difference. Your opinions may vary.

Not trying to argue. But catch cans have nothing to do with how an engine runs. All they do is catch excess oil blow by which is not captured by the stock pcv/ evap system and recirculated to be burned of in the engine.

Edit, a incorrectly working pcv system can cause knock from the blow by being re introduced for combustion. So if your pcv system isn't working correctly a catch can might make a difference. But then aren't really correcting the problem, just a band aid since you really want your pcv system working correctly.
