I was a Miller drinker for years. Then a couple of years ago Yuengling came to Ohio. Haven't touched a Miller since.

Erdinger Dunke. Or Hofbräu Münchner Weisse ("Hefe Weizen") - I'll be having one of these fresh from the tap at the Hofbräuhaus München when we're in The Beer Capital of the world, Munich Germany here in a few days.

Man, tough question! So many good choices.....as long as it doesn't have Miller, Bud, Pabst, etc in the name. I've been on an IPA kick for the last year or so. Down here in Texas I've grown to have a love for Shiner Bock as well.

Southern Tier - Creme Brulee - any time of the year. 9.5% kick ass! When traveling, I always ask about local craft beers.

Also brew my own... just for fun and give away 90% of it to friends and family.

Not a fan of "mouthwash" beer...... 4.8% or less. I want to TASTE my beer, not fill up with empty calories. When I do drink beer, its only one or two of a Porter or other Craft beer.

But....... I'm a closet fan of RED OAK's basic brew (NC brew.) For a mouthwash beer, it has a great taste, but no buzz or real kick.

When I cannot find a real beer.... I fall back on a long island ice tea..... (but ask the wife to drive before I drink!!!!)

Thats pretty simple for me. My every day beer is Canadain or Bud. I bounce between both. BUT, if I want something a little fancier, grab any case of something made by a small brewery called Unibroue. They have many beers with interesting french names and each has a nifty little story as to why it was created. I highly recommend them all.
http://www.unibroue.com/ if youre at all curious.

Yuenling is good but those jerks won't sell it in my state. They sell it in the surrounding states as if we don't deserve anything good in Kentucky. Not sure why they can't divert a truck down I75 from Cincinnati and have it stop in Lexington on it's way to Knoxville or vice versa. It's not like TN is far, the sales tax there is high. It's not like OH is far either. If I go far enough north to go to Cincinnati I end up in Newport, KY at the Hofbrauhaus. Yuenling is good but a liter of Dunkle followed by another couple of liters is better. I don't like being left out!!!

I used to feel the same way, but I have graduated and now am a professional beer drinker. Instead of calling them shitty beers, I call them "maintenance beers". You see, I've gotten to be able to drink 12 beers on an afternoon fishing, or sometimes an 18 pack after work BBQ'ing or something. Full day? That could be 30 beers long. There is no way I could drink 30 Shipyard Torpedo's, or even 30 Sam Adams Summers. So I usually buy a 6 pack of some good stuff, and an 18 rack of "maintenance beers" which are usually either Coors Light or Michelob Light.

If I'm going to drink a lager it's generally Molson Ice but lagers are all basically the same. I can't get on a plane and fly to England every week so it's the craft beers in the states (the Brits call lager "fizzy beer" I usually have some Sierra Nevada pale ale or a good IPA in the fridge I never drink more that two beers at a sitting so I'll be damned if I'll buy a plain old lager you drink one you have drank them all.
