Hi all, I am new here.
I am trying to find out the bed size of my truck. I want to buy a slide on camper for it. I been searching for hours on Google to get the size with no luck. I see almost the same exact make of my truck everywhere so I thought the info would be easy to find. If anyone could help me or recommend a camper that would work it would be awesome.
    Here are my truck specs.
    Engine:3.4 L
    Cylinders:6
    Fuel:Gasoline
    Vehicle Line:Tacoma
    Series: Xtracab
    Model Year: 2004
    Drive: 4x4: manual

If you need any more information let me know :)

    Thanks for looking.

    Awesome!
Yeah I don't know if can afford a new one for 13k Everyone on craigs list seems to be for 8ft beds. That's why I am trying to figure out my bed size. I would like one with a bathroom. its needed to stay overnight at a beach I have a sticker for.

true but i wasn't sure where to start (the whole bed or just the flat part) also if they mean with the tailgate down or not.

I'd measure both. I believe most slide ins I've seen go in and leave the tailgate down or don't use the tailgate at all.

If you find one on CL you could look at the manufacturers website and see how they spec it out with measurements to get an idea. I haven't seen many slide in's for the Tacoma at all.

    True,
Thanks for the advice. I seen a Tacoma on the beach that was the same style truck as mine with a huge slide on camper on it... The poor truck looked like it was going break in half.
I think honestly if i got a camper it would have to be a custom one. At that point I could just buy a banger off CS and find a bigger camper... SBT :(. they just look like so much fun!

With the popups the tailgate is removed for installation. You're dealing with a 6' bed.

The only hardwall camper I know of that will fit your truck is a Northern Lite. They have a great reputation for quality, but are extremely expensive.

Pop-up campers are more readily available. Northstar makes a very well-built pop-up for the Tacoma. I have a larger Northstar pop-up on an F150. I have had it 11 years and it is holding up quite nicely. I bought it new and it has been a great investment. Mine has been all over, the mountains, desert, some 4 wheeling, Colorado, Utah, all over CA. Very comfortable rig.

Those look awesome and really well priced but no bathroom. If i didn't need the bathroom I would really consider getting one of those.

Thank you!!!!! Exactly the info I was looking for

Yeah those look like what I need. I will need to save up or take out some kind of loan to get one. It's almost as expensive as my truck :p
