    Sorry for the untimely reply (and my first apologetic post), but can you tell me how you painted the center caps? I just bought some FJ TRD center caps (for a '14 TRD Sport) and want to paint the TRD letters MGM. I bought a spray can of Duplicolor and tested it on a stray plastic can cap in my garage. I sprayed it into a solo cup and used a small brush. The test results on the cap were crap and even worse when I walked back into the garage a few hours later to discover the duplicolor had eaten its way through the solo cup. So, do I need to use a self etching primer first (keeping in mind I'm hand painting letters on four of these caps) or can I just sand the letters and paint? And, if anyone has any suggestions about how to paint the letters with some minimum competence, I'm all ears.

    welcome to TW! When I had my stock wheels painted I cleaned em, sanded em real good, sprayed 2 coats of self-etching primer, and 3 coats of whatever paint color you choose. Check out https://www.automotivetouchup.com for exact OEM matching paint (the MGM i used is pretty spot on). Good luck :thumbsup:
