Just bought my first Tacoma and went with a 2013 TRD Sport model! It came with the color matched grill, bumpers, and fenders. For those who have the same model, year, and color truck, my question is....Does your grill shell (the piece that surronds your black grill) and the little pieces beneath each headlight seem to be an "ever so slightly" different shade of white than the hood and rest of the truck? When looking at mine it sure seems like the white around the grill and the little pieces below each headlight that extend from the grill are slightly more "off white" than the "super white" color of the rest of the truck. Thanks!

I'll try to post some pics tomorrow when it's light outside, but it's not anything super noticeable, it just is an ever so slightly different color white than compared to the hood or body of the truck and it's only the grill she'll and the little piece under each headlight. I'm thinking about calling Toyota and asking them about it.

What color is yours? Also, it may be a stupid question but what is MGM? Maybe it's only certain year models?

I replaced my Chrome OR grill with a Sport Color Matched Grill from Camelback Toyota and it matched perfectly.

Hmmm maybe it only affects the FACTORY color matches grills.

That was the one thing that concerned me when I bought the grill is that it wouldn't match but it looks like it was painted with the truck. Matches perfectly.

Don't mean to be a stickler, but look at the little thin piece right below your headlight, it seems to be a little off white than the truck or grill shell you bought? That's the other piece on mine that is slightly off too and matches the off white on my shell. Maybe it's just the pic or me looking for it.

That's just the shadow and the angle I took the picture. It matches perfectly. Believe me... I'm a stickler when it comes to being OCD and that is not one of my issues.

Could just be a bad batch of paint you got, but it is a used truck

Right it is used, but from the best of my knowledge absolutely no paint or body work has been done to it. It is only a year old and still under full factory warranty. I plan on asking the people at my local Toyota dealer's service department. The odd thing is I am not the only ones truck it affects from what I've researched.

The grill isn't painted with the truck & its plastic. So yes I'm sure the paint color isn't spot on...

Yea I was thinking it may be bc the paint is being applied to different surfaces, but they have aftermarket grill shells that match the color of the truck perfect like mentioned previously in this thread. So why can't Toyota themselves get it to match right? And it must be something from the factory bc some others have noticed it on theirs as well.

It HAS to be bc the paint is on different surfaces....metal or whatever it is on the body of the truck vs plastic of grill shell.

Anyone else notice if theirs seems to be slightly off? Lol...I'm gonna get to the bottom of this. I'm sure the Toyota service dept has had this come up before.
