You have 90k on stock bearings?!! I'm at 62 and changed the driver's side about 4 months ago and starting to think the passenger side is going.

On the money side: Mine was 30k + TTL and then financing. With 15k down, I left the dealer owing 19.5k. Paid off in 40 months on a 5 year loan. Saved about 2 grand. I have/had about 4500 in accessories and such I believe. That doesn't include the bumper or tiny little stuff.

I saw some posts about "dream building" and I'm as guilty of that as anyone. I see all this sweet stuff and want it all. But deep down I know I can't afford it and wouldn't use it to it's full capability. For a while I really had plans on getting a new truck and building it. Now I don't want a new one. I love my truck! It's paid off and already got some scratches. I love that I can drive to my hunting stand with all the hemlock trees dragging across the sides of it and I'm not going to worry about it. I'm trying to make a condensed list of immediate wants/needs to be able to wheel easy/moderate trails. Basically sliders and skids would be tops along with tires. That alone is its own deal. I would kill to have 35s but I know that would mean regear and that's $$$! So in reality I think 33s (maybe push a 295) would be enough and not regear.

Some day I'll have a job I can afford all the cool stuff like relocating the shocks and lockers etc... and nice coilovers. But until then, I'm gonna just save up and handle one thing at a time like I've been for nearly 5 years!

Idk what the measurements were and no I didn't post them since there was no reason too. Most of the people in the ato shackle flip thread posted their measurements and mine were the same.

Basically I haven't seen anyone with a shackle flip and stock length shackles that wasn't able to use the b110 shocks.
Must've seen the other sas kit coming out and realized they need to move fast!

Yea and Oswego is gone too. He was a nice guy and really helpful...

    :p

Guess since we didn't notify Boyd we don't count... :p

I got a screaming deal on some Bilstiens so I went for it, if they don't fit I can sell them pretty easily or just move the shock mounts :notsure:

You did what? Measure for shocks?

Pics or it didn't happen. :D

Yikes...that kinda of defeats the purpose, no?

    that guy was a dick.

Everyone "says" they measured, but no one ever shows any pics of themselves doing so and always...and I mean always says "mine were the same as everyone elses and I don't remember what they were"

    Sounds like a plan.

I didn't measure, but I did go a little longer then I was supposed too. I did 10" travel with a 12" shock body. I need to work on getting some new leafs my TSB AAL are pretty flat which doesn't leave me with much up travel on the shocks I am alway worried about bottoming them out. I kind of went ass back words but one of my blown 5100s seized up and I didn't feel like buying shock twice, so I hope it all works out in the end.

You can feel free to have my pack when I take it out. Between the Wheelers progressive AAL and TBS springs + your stuff I'm sure we could make up a pack that would work. I also have a brand new set of overloads.

I measured before I bought the shocks off Mojo, why would I purchase such an expensive pair of shocks without knowing they would fit :confused:

Cut the shackles down to 4" and flexed it out on a local dirt pile down the road and took some measurements at various angles and determined I could jam the 12" shocks inboard without issue. The beauty of inboarding the shocks is you can get away with fitting various length shocks and depeneding on your needs mount them at a bigger angle to make em fit (i.e. a shorter shock can fit more perpendicular to the axle)

Maybe the inboard isn't "ideal" for shock placement but I gots a good deal on the shocks from Mojo and I was determined to make them work anyway. At ride height they sit at 30* plus they are valved stiffer than stock so that should compenstate for any angle they sit at.

Full droop was 28-29" and stuffed was 20" (measured at the axle where I wanted to mount the shocks, not wheel travel). Sorry I was banned before and couldn't post these measurements

I still need to adjust my bumps possibly but the Dakars make it tough to go into negative arch so I may just leave well enough alone, at full stuff the shocks don't bottom out and at full droop they have an extra inch or so left in travel so I don't need limit straps.

The king 12" stroke shock extended is 31.5" and compressed is 19.5", so therefore this is the largest shock I could fit without adjusting the bumps or limiting any travel. The 10" shock would have sold me short on some droop.

I measured from this point at the bed and determined I needed to cut that peice off to fit em in :D

Still got plenty of shock travel left for droops

Bottom line is the placement here just plain works and I spent less than any shock relocation kit on the market and I can take pride in knowing I did it myself and didn't buy some "kit" that may or may not work for my application.

Maybe I need to do a writeup on how to do a tape measure before I can tell you I measured my shocks? :p

    :D

I have been tossing up between the All poos and the Dakars. I would have had them by now but I bought a new boat instead.

Looks good. I remember your shackle being long anyway.
