    Anyone have any pics of there 2nd gen 6 lug steel wheels plasti dipped? Thinking about doing mine and wanted to see how they looked.

    Its been done more than a few times, there is a thread on all things plastidip in the detailing section with a shit load if pictures. You cant really go wrong, its cheap and if you dont like it peel it off

    A couple of pics. I would say do it for sure. Just make sure you spray it on think so it is easy to peel if you dont like it. I have had mine done for at least 6 months with no issues at all. Great product. I also did my emblems and the whole tool box.

    Hey Attached you'll see a few pics of my truck before and after I plastidipped the emblems and wheels. I ended up having to use a toothpick and tweezers to get the plasti off between the letters.

    I matted all chrome, even the emblem in the front with matte gray. I love the way it looks and all it took was like 30 bucks and a couple hours.

    My $.02.. I plastidipped wheels in the past and found that I wished I should've just used Krylon satin black paint instead. Plastidipped is harder to touch up with scrapes/gouges vs. paint. Only advantage I see with PD is if you plan on switching back to original color.
