What is the price on the Diamond Plate version? Do you have enough interest to run them yet?

looks good. i was wondering if you guys can make it so that it only comes over the top and not bend back down to cover the outside of the tailgate. would it be easier to reinstall the top plastic cover without much trimming.

I would prefer the tailgate lip to extend over tailgate for added protection. I am also interested in a powder coat finish.

Would you consider extending your 15% recent deal to this specific group order?

Sorry we cannot. That simple lip over the top of the tailgate is where a lot of the strength and rigidity comes from.
The 15% is expired, however there is a perpetual TW discount code that you can find elsewhere in my vendor area to get 10% off.

I'll take a diamond plate version with powder coat. Let me know when you have enough interested in a group buy. Thanks :)

What kind of abuse would the powder coated steel plate take. such as loading equipment into bed

I've got a powder coated one on my truck, been on for about 3mo and it's holding up well for all the steel armor and pallets I load and unload into my truck. Only a few scratches, and the ones that are there are down into the metal so no coating short of linex would have stopped them. Probably would have gouged or chunked linex like my truck bed even

I have a similar reinforcement that I had professionally LineX'd. It was not cheap $300, but should last the life of the truck.

Hey guys if we can get one more we can do it. I need 4 committed orders and I'll do a short run, or if there's more then I'll do a set of 8, 12, etc. We make them 4 at a time, so need multiples of 4 for another special batch of diamond plate.

If you for sure want in, PM me your info and I'll give you guys a specific order timeframe to get in on it. When the orders are in, material will be ordered and we'll make them.
I believe cost will be an extra $15/ea. over the standard smooth aluminum.

Looking at getting a steel smooth with powder coated finish. My concerns are the finish durability and how slippery is it when wet. I load equipment and firewood etc. In snowy conditions

The diamond plate is aluminum, correct? Steel would be too heavy for my purposes...

The powdercoat is pretty grippy, plus, the plastic from the inside portion of the tailgate can be layered on top of the reinforcement

From my experience the powder coated reinforcement is a little less slippery than the original plastic on the truck. If you want more grip, bed liner would be advisable. Even just the rustoleum rattle can bed liner. Ive got it on my bumper and it's pretty grippy even when wet.
Yes the diamond plate is aluminum, weighs around 14lbs i believe.

Yeah, the rustoleum is grippy stuff. Love it.
