RFRM Bussman Fuse Box & Relays - SPOD? HA!

Clean holes.... need to work on a mounting solution.

Also, figured out v1.5 already. Power terminals and harness on opposite sides.

For Reference, all the hardware I used is Stainless and the bolts used for the RFRM are Brass - Think they were 10/32's

So I can access the BOLTS holding it onto the truck. 2 holes. Just large enough to fit a 13mm wrench in there.



Reference for clearance to show I can still access the main fuse box.



Completed mounting solutions for the ML-ACR & RFRM still able to access everything and flip the latching knob



Cable management. Still need to LOOM all the Power wire. Going to put that off until I get the 2/0 gauge wire. Shot of the Stinger Digital Gauges too.* Thinking about this, I might remove the WINCH Negative cable from the battery, and use the frame as a ground point.



Thought I was done. Took a few steps back after the pics. Nope. Forgot to tuck a few cables. Then had to flip a terminal over to correct another. Made more work for myself. I see now that there is still a twisted negative wire coming from the Digital gauge.

All I need to do now is wire up the control switch for the ML-ACR (that's what the little wires sticking up behind the RFRM are), and get that Contactor for the winch.

 

Couple Breakers or Blade fuses in-between. I have a dedicated run to the rear for my 2200w inverter. Plus I want to have the RFRM isolated for safety sake.

Soon I will need to get some Nice SWITCHES, from out local TW internet fuse guy. I know you like that JIM.

 

Here is the guy that originally had me wanting to up my game on the relay/fuse department. Barlowrs - Awesome build. Great designs and organization on his setup. After I saw his, I knew that this couldn't be 'it' as far as small, organized, and clean goes.

He has an 8 relay array and it is huge.

 

Ok people. I have a question for the masses. There are 8 people that have contacted me right now wanting one of these 10 relay position, and the smaller version 5 relay position. RTMR & RFRM

How many people would be interested in me making and selling these? I could put together any customizations that the box could handle. There are other people making the 5 relay RTMR with a few months backlog.

Right now, with current shipping it about a 7-8 days turnaround to your front door.

Turnaround time for me would be less than a day upon delivery from the distributor. That would be Shipping same day also. UNLESS I got enough people to say yes, they wanted them and I ordered a LARGE order. Then it would be similar to any other item purchased through any vendor. Same day turnaround and shipping.

I would include Braided Loomed wires/ harnesses, Whatever length preferred.

If you did want one, I would just need a general list of the accessories that you intend on running, so I could research the proper AMP fuses. Plus if there were plans for additional stuff in the future so I could pre wire for them.

These would come READY to go. Fused, Relayed... Just Power them and wire them up to the desired switches and to your accessories.

I guess I don't have any pictures of it but I'm using the "wired wagon" fuse/relay box from a guy on ih8mud.

I like it a lot and it's cool to see what you were able to do with a bigger one. Real nice job and very informative.

Good thinking man! Im a huge fab of relays and this cleans it right up!
Also allows you to use thinner wire from the switch( easier to manage in behind )as the relay is already powered and fused in the box.

I've been running wire for all of my stuff - running the 5 relay bussman panel too.

Relays and fusing for rear bumper lights, tonneau rack lights, front bumper light, power inverter/bed 12volt, backup cam, and 5 otrattw switches. I'll post a pic when I get a chance.

Hardest part has been getting everything straight in my head wiring wise - I was a car stereo installer in a former life, and hate messy wiring jobs. Have been using a run of 9 conductor stinger speedwire, and a run of 5 conductor. Loving this stuff so far.

 

Was going to use that or similar but wanted 12 or more conductor.
