Man, that sucks. I'm interested in your experience with the Rack Doctor rack. Mine desperately needs replacement.

Yeah, I told the guy on the phone from the place I bought it from that my OEM rack with 225K has less play than this!

Yes it does suck! Not looking forward to that job again!

The rack doctor one was recommended by Jace. Hopefully it works out.

Yeah BMA is. He offered to switch me out to another brand they have, but I opted for a refund. Just have to send it back.

I have the same type of play in my stock rack with 177K miles on it. I was hoping it was just the inner tie rods but after seeing your video I'm thinking I need a new rack since my rack has play identical to yours

Edit: I meant to quote one of sneaky penguins or "young Brett" posts

Had no idea, it has snowed twice in 25 years where I live! Makes sense how you explain it. Seems like they would do great in powder but the slush road stuff makes sense.

I owned KM2s for a summer. I did not care for how they handled in the desert monsoons. I went back to the BFG ATs. Thinking of trying the Duratracs next.

After driving around for two days on the Goodyear Adventure All Terrains, I'd give those a shot if I were you. A lot cheaper than Duratracs.

This is the first time I running a different tire than BFG ATs in over 20 years, and I love them so far.

I had BFG a/t good on the street sucked off road. The BFG KM2's worked very nice. I like the Duratracs also they were a good off road tire. But I have the GY MTR kevlar's now and they out perform any tire I have run.
Not the best on road tire but I could care less. Road performance is not how I chose a tire for my truck.

Update on the LC Engineering headers I installed on my 2.7L . So I went and had an 3.5" extension made at a local muffler shop to move the exhaust back to the original spot. It worked out great. So far I notice more power and the engine runs great. However it seems like the engine is running hotter for some reason. Does any one know how hot the engine should run? Any info would help thanks.

I'll have to look into them.

I have had no quibbles with the ATs off-road. I had major traction issues on wet pavement with the KM2s. Maybe siping them would have had me keeping them longer.

I have said it before and I will say it again. Every Taco reman rack company has just as many horror stories as the "I have been running one for bla bla bla and it's great". The only exception is that place in Denver, "CVJ" I think. They are the only company I know of with no neg feedback about their Taco racks and I have been screwing with Taco racks from Taco day one. To be clear I have seen nothing bad OR good. It should be kept in mind that using OEM (quality) parts to reman a rack will quickly bring the cost into the "no profit there" zone. Check out the online prices of OEM rack parts including ITRs then realize that even big wholesale accounts don't do much better than 5% lower than that and there you have it.

Just off the top of my head, Rack Doctor.

If you want MT's that perform in rain/snow/ice, best option is TrXus MT.

Haha idk if I could go without AC either.

I also had the though of getting a 4ru ner hood to steal the hood scoop out of and doing a top mount IC like subarus
