Hey, I have a vibration at certain speeds & it does increase when I turn the wheel(either direction). I can feel it through the floor...
I attributed this to the rubber around Center Support Bearing(Carrier Bearing) being all ripped up. Hmm, maybe its both. Damn this truck is costing me!!

When you replace the Wheel Bearings, do you just do the Front?

On mine just the drivers side front was bad. Right hand turns at 40mph or more, I could hear it grinding. Turns to the left was quiet.

lift the front end and spin the tire by hand. if it's that bad you will hear the grinding. you can also grab the tire and 12 and 6 o'clock and push/pull. if you feel any play it's time to replace the wheel bearing.

    Happy Friday !

Today marks one year since I started selling these assemblies on Tacoma World. It has been a great year & I would like to thank everyone that has helped me make this possible.

I really enjoy helping the members of this forum, even if it's not with a sale of this product, but just answering questions or trying to diagnose a problem. I have met a lot of great people and enjoy the satisfaction of helping however I can.

I'd like to offer 10% off all orders placed today & throughout the rest of the month in appreciation of keeping this operation going.

Again, thank you for making this possible!

 Thanks kevin! You've taken away the anxiety of having to do another wheel bearing. Too bad you didn't start doing this 3 weeks earlier lol

Sure can be a pain in the arse! I swapped the bearings two years ago on my access cab & used my old hub flanges. It was a 4 hour ordeal with pressing the flanges out. The bearing races got stuck on the flange so I had to cut them off, almost destroyed the hub flange in the process.

I just did my DCSB over the winter with these assemblies and it took an hour and a half with no cursing or tool throwing :D

Let me know when your ready, I'll be here

The wheel bearings are a wear item, eventually they will need to be replaced.

You can take advantage of the sale and the additional discount when you purchase two

New here but Im pretty sure my front left Bearing is going out on my 2011 based on the droning its making at speed.

Whats the CV seal thats also recommended to replace? I'm semi mechanically inclined but not much with 4x4.

    Welcome!

The CV seal is on the inside of the spindle. The whole job is fairly easy to accomplish with basic hand tools, a torque wrench and a 35mm socket.

Check out this write up. It includes removing the CV shaft which you don't have to do to replace the wheel bearing.

You'll have to pardon my ignorance but, this is only for the Front 2 wheels of the truck correct?
