Does this imply that regular cabs will be available in 2015?

I would like to know when they will be available. I have not been given a production week, just an estimate of 3 to now 4 months for delivery. $400 above invoice is where they are before any negotiation whatsoever.

 Glad I got this on my 2013, to bad it's going away because it's one of the things I love about my truck right now!

Funny, because I bought my 2013 from the biggest Toyota dealer in my tri-state area. It was a custom order placed in 2012, and I got $500 under invoice with very little almost no negotiation, as part of their new no haggle policy. So yes, it is possible to get under invoice at the right dealership. No, I didn't have a trade in or any significant financing either.

according to my dealer you can still order a 2014 today - not sure why your toyota dealer is telling you 2015s only, there has been no official announcement for the 2015 and it is not orderable today.

What dealer is that? I'll call them.

Four local dealers have told me they can't order a 2014 and it will be between 3-6(!) months for a 2015 order.

Also, one local dealer mentioned that I cannot get a Tacoma built any way that I want. For example, a 4x4 V6 auto with the SR & Convenience Package requires the tow package. ?

You wont get $1000 under invoice. While the dealer may not actually pay invoice, they dont pay $1000 under it either (unless they order tons of vehicles at once)

Sorry.... We didn't discuss the availability of Regular cabs for 2015. It was my understanding that the cut-off date for ordering a 2014 was the end of June (Two different dealers told me that). Maybe what the dealer was trying to say was, I can still get a 2014 from the local/regional inventories.

The 2015 info / pricing will be available 8/4/14 (per Toyota fleet web-site and confirmed by local dealer).

I have no reason to doubt what the dealer is telling me about an end of August production date. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Invoice is not what the dealer pays, its significantly less. If you believe a stealership, you are getting taken to the cleaners.

$1000 under invoice on the truck I'm looking to purchase works out to 94% of MSRP. Several members here report deals with better % savings off MSRP in this thread:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...ial-what-did-you-pay-your-2014-thread-35.html

In fact, the post at the top of the page works out to just under 87% of MSRP.

This breaks my heart to no end... If you're going to ditch a color ditch Blue Ribbon or something... or the other red that they currently have and only put out the new one.

I hear and read no reg cab Taco in 2015. However, I have not read an official statement from Mother Toyota that the reg cab is dead. I hope they will make them in 2015 I need to replace an 03 but am not quite ready to do so yet.
(that means I don't have the cash yet) :D

A dealer has located a truck that works for me but won't budge of MSRP and won't tell me where it is (which I understand). Is there any way for me to find out which dealer has the truck?

was it under invoice or under MSRP? Did they prove to you invoice? Because if that's the case they lost $500 on you, made negative money on the deal. Typically they only give invoice to employees, service men and women or issue customers.

Not really because its probably on it's way from god knows where. If they located it for you and its coming your way it shouldn't take all that long to get.

As for dealers, what they can get, and what is orderable, it also makes a difference if the dealer is a part of one of the big regional "areas" that Toyota had to set up way back when they came into the US, but are still there and affect sales. GST and SEC are the ones I am familiar with (Gulf States Toyota and South East Toyota). All new vehicles that come in to a dealer in one of these states, go through these areas, and they control what gets ordered and what is actually available. You probably have more flexibility if you stay with a dealer that is outside one of these areas.

I work for a dealer, 2015s have already been allocated to dealerships. there is no price available yet but are projected to go up a few hundred for processing and delivery fees as they have done the past few years
