    A story similar to that:

My dad bought a BMW from Schomp BMW (down in Highlands Ranch) that has been back to Schomp half a dozen times in the year that he's owned it due to issues. Recently, he switched insurance providers to one of the companies that has a device that you plug into your access port and it reports "incidents" of hard braking, speeding, or hard acceleration. Based on how you do, they determine your cost of insurance. He dropped the car off to Schomp about a week ago and got 19 incident reports including hard braking, hard acceleration, and speeds of upwards of 90 mph (in a 65).

I'm not sure what he intends to do about it, but I'd certainly have someone's head for it.

That same thing happened to a buddy of mine. He bought a brand new Duramax back 2012. He brought it into the dealer after about a month or so to have the topper, spray in bed liner and some running boards installed. He had the progressive thing installed and was able to see that someone was hot ridding around in his brand new $60k truck! I think he ended up getting some of the stuff installed for $0 labor cost. Also the kid that was driving his truck around ended up being fired. Another reason to not trust dealerships!

Afternoon all. Been MIA for a while dealing with some family stuff but I'm getting back into the swing of things. As part of that, I need a little help. Long long time ago I twisted up my bumper mounts and tweaked the angle that my bumper sits. I wanted to install some Pelfrey mount braces and see if I could bang things back into shape but it turns out it's more than a 1 person job. Anyone have time on Aug 16/17 to help me out? Preferably someone with bumper experience.

Also, I've heard it's possible to turn the winch barrel to mount the controls (namely the clutch lever) at an angle other than stock. When the bumper comes off I wanted to try doing that to make the lever a little more accessible. Anyone know of any instructions on how to do that for a Warn VR8000, figured I ask before testing my google-fu since I'm a bit rusty.

    What haven’t I changed?
Rotating the clutch lever is fairly simple. All you have to do is disengage the clutch, remove the 10 socket cap screws on the end of the winch with the clutch lever, pull the housing out a few millimeters, rotate in the desired direction, then line up the bolt holes and put all the screws back in. Be careful to only pull the assembly out a few millimeters and you'll be fine. There also is a gasket that will come loose, so make sure to line up the holes in that too when you're putting everything back together. Start a few of the screws to line up the holes, then press the housing back against the rest of the winch and replace all the rest of the screws.

It looked like you knew what you were doing to me.
I'm kind of bummed that I didn't try it in 2wd, just to see how difficult it really was ;)

That's really taking shape! How close is the carrier to the tailgate?

Btw, got a shirt and coozie for ya when we get a chance to meet up. Should grab a beer somewhere and try the coozie out. :D

In that pic it is leaning on the gate. 1/4"-3/8" when it is actually mounted. I would have put it on today but I want to finish the rest of the grinding, etc before I put the spindle on to keep it protected. When I get all that done and make the brackets for the 7-pin and license plate/lights I can finally paint and finish this. It may be 2015 at this rate though :anonymous: custom fab work takes FORFUCKINGEVER
