If I were to atempt this mod I would probaly use 220 grit to try and remove all the chrome and prime it, then hit it with wet sand paper. But I'm no expert on this.
Try searching if no one chimes in or pm some one who has done this.

It's plastic. I would try painting it first, probably cheaper, and paint it white

either buy the paint from a well-known company (even if it cost a little more...)
or just straight up sand it, prime it and take to get it painted...

Here's the first grill i painted with the ebay paint..As you can see, it did not match..It did look good from far way though lol...

Here's the 2nd grill... Paint is from the same spot, but it seemed like a closer match...

Like i said via PM, i have the $30 can from Automotive Touch-Up, i just haven't got to spraying it yet...If this can doesn't match..then idk, i'll probably just take it to be sprayed professionally... I'm just waiting on some clear coat, then i will spray it..

Nice, Definitely post pictures... I have been painting some interior pieces here and there as well... it definitely makes a difference...

    Here's a link to a whole thread dedicated to cheap/free mods: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/technical-chat/4838-cheap-free-mods.html

I definitely would NOT use krazy glue...
everyone i know has used 3M double-sided automotive tape... It works great!
