I just upgraded to some 285/75's on my 11' 2.7 2wd auto taco and obviously my gas mileage went to shit. Was just curious What gears you guys running out there?

So if im looking at that chart on the link you gave me correctly my gear ratio is 3.583 is that correct? And the 4.30's or the 4.56's would be a couple of good options for the auto 4 banger with 285's?
    Thanks for the help berk.

With nearly a 5" increase in tire diameter you may have issues with more than gears. The 5 lug bearings, brakes, etc. will be stressed

So it sounds like the 4.56's is what im looking for. I commute 80 miles round trip to work so im mainly doing highway driving and if my pickup is cruising along 70 miles an hour @ 1800 rpm's thats good for better mpg's right?

If I could do it all over again I probably would've went with 265's. Because after all I bought the 4 banger because I knew it was gunna be a commuter

Is this on a 5/ lug or PreRunner? I just put 265/75/16 BFG AT's on my 2.7, auto, PreRunner and lost about 2 mpg's across the board. I can also feel a noticeable drop in power, but not intolerable. I think PreRunner's with the 2.7 have 4.10 stock though?

Yeah i've got the prerunner... hell idk why it's so difficult to figure out what my stock gears are haha. I definitely should have just bumped to the 265's. I average about a 5 mpg loss with the 285's... still not bad though at around 18mpg in a pickup but the power loss is intolerable for me. Unsure if regearing will bring her back to life
