Looks good, I wish I had that much room int hat area. With the clutch master cylinder and the huge charcoal canister that area is already spoken for.

 

Yep, that was the deciding factor for me as well!
Was going to put it above the passenger wheel well since I don't have cruise but decided it would be cleaner to not have so many wires having to run into the cab as far as pwr to switch then from switch to source. So how I did it I just have one main power to box then from switch to source outside truck.. Just minimizing wires to be run basically is all

I know, I thought about the passenger side. I have cruise and ABS, so that area is limited too.

 

My mechanic thinks my MAF sensor is messed up and my engine is fine. I looked at camel back and they are 650$?! I thought it was only like 200.. hopefully this compression test goes well..

 

Did he put it under the rear or does he have that side storage?

 

No response in the DIY breather MOD thread, soooo

for those of you that went with the small filter method on the breather mod. I routed mine into the engine bay and the other day i noticed that the filter looked like it was soaked in fluid (diff fluid im assuming). Anybody have this issue?

The blue sea box will also bolt to the top cover of the OEM fuse box quiet well. Relays are always a pain. But that's why I got a bussman box and not a blue sea.

 

I said it takes a long time... Years. Most steel would get used before it ever happens. The molecules get stretched, but not broken. Then they want to move back to their original formation. Steel is strong enough that it takes a long time. Take a couple materials engineering classes and you learn all about it.

Yeah, I wanted a bussman box over the blue sea, but $$$. I like the location, I may have to consider do it that way.

 

I have my blue sea box on the factory fuse box lid. Works perfect...I don't use relays on any of my LED lights so no need to mount them with the box. When/if I get anything that requires a relay then I'll have a panel made to mount them elsewhere.

 

do you have a circuit breaker for your Blue Sea?

 

Negatory. Not yet. I have room to mount one but I haven't gotten to it yet. I'm only pushing maybe 50 amps through the box, and that's with everything on at once which never happens. If anything I'll be adding a fuse directly to the battery terminal rather than a circuit breaker.

 

I've got a Cobra 75 WX ST with the little main box in there. Was having too many issues with stereo interference in the ash try location. This setup's been wokring great, and provides very easy access to tune it.

 

Looks like I'll be stealing another idea from 01tacoma.

 

Picked up some new hardware today.
