No experience with your products at all, but you definitely deserve some props with how you're handling critiques on your design. Good for you, man

That gap appears to be the same from the other seller offering a similar product, and I see no complaints about the gap there. So why the complaints here?

I wouldn't call it a complaint but a disagreement based on the gap of the cap of the tailgate. Where on the other part by relentless it's a whole tailgate piece. So I'm guessing other buyers are letting the gap on the tailgate pass where on the tailgate cap piece is smaller and sticks out??? I hope that somewhat make sense  :D

No one's complaining. We're just all anal about our trucks! Things need to sit tight and smooth, look neat as well as function. This is obviously a great idea, but it's only smart to get the feedback of his main consumers as to what kind of product they will dish out their hard earned money on.

Like I said above, I have a Snugtop cap and when I close it, the rubber flap on the cap makes tight contact to the tail gate sheet metal. A product that adds this kind of space may interfere with the handle/ lock mechanism.

I think a "no gap" would look best :p:D

    More than I can afford
Great looking product and a great idea to solve a known problem.

Doesn't work for me due to camper shell. Same problem as last poster. Not only will it interfere with closing the hatch on the shell, it won't allow the weatherstripping to engage on the hatch, making it leak.

If you can make a tighter version that would be awesome. Looks like most of the plastic clips on mine are broken and the tailgate creaks when I put weight on it.
Also, does the foam weatherstripping absorb water?
Be a bad idea to have something holding moisture against the sheetmetal. That and it will be a bear to wash/dry your truck if the weatherstripping keeps leeching water out.

Even if it's open cell foam tape and not closed cell it won't retain that much water.

    Tighter version coming up!!

Regarding the foam: I could t get it to hold any water. I think the truck would have to be submerged for that to happen.

I believe that foam tape is closed cell foam so it will not absorb water. It tends to hold onto dirt, but easily washed.

And yes, several times. Good with a meal.

There's going to be at least two versions (big gap, little gap), and maybe a third (CURVED around the tailgate).
