He's got an easy pin switch that goes where one of the headlight screws is. How much was one of the prop rod switches you have?

I just wanted his because it's a easy kit that includes the pin switch and an easy install. His strips are also "cool white" which is more of the white hue that I'm looking for.

Put in a little gee whiz mod today with a Honda gas cap holder. Cut the little tabs off the back and put it on with 3M indoor/outdoor tape. It was only a couple bucks, so why not.

I tried ONE stant locking gas cap and it threw codes within a few miles

Which one worked for you?

 

Stant P# 10504. Picked it up from Advanced VatoZone. Has worked fine with the exception of the key hole cover sometimes sticking close, but a couple pokes with the key and it slides over.

I can't remember the part number i tried...maybe 10509? I'll have to look when i get back to the casa

I'd hate to have to drill it if it froze up either but i really need that gas door locked

Curse you toyota!!! I loved the locking gas door on my FoRunner

 

Honestly, you could probably still wrench it out with some vise grips if you or a really determined siphoner wanted to, but I like it just for a little bit of security.

Someone makes a locking gas door kit here. He has it listed in the 2nd gen marketplace.

 

Yeah, I've seen that one before. A little more in depth than I really wanna mess with though.

The prop switches range from $10-$20 on eBay. I have the cool white too. Just haven't used them on my truck.

Pin switches, you can get online or from best buy, etc. for a couple dollars. Your truck though.

 

I'm with you there on both of those points

I'd rather just spend a couple extra dollars for a tried and true easy kit and help out a TW member.

I've already waited for a month or two on his list too.

I like the Pelfrey too, but you lose some space with the angled basket they have.

Got the Anti-Dark hood lighting kit in today. I'm not happy with my install as it was super humid today so I was sweating and rushing to install it so I didn't clean the hood well enough, put the LED strip on a little crooked, and didn't run the wires as cleanly as possible.

I am, however, super happy with the output and color of the kit though, the only downfalls were on my end, not on Beerad's, who sells the kit.

Also, Maxtrax's are still on backorder unfortunately but hopefully will have them soon.

Blacked out engine cover?

 

Crudely colormatched. I had it looking ok at one point, then I tried to sand it to get it better, and I really messed up the plastic so now it looks like poop.

I would like to get another one, but they're like $115 so there's no way I'm spending that much on something hidden under the hood. Might take some time one day and sand and repaint if I really feel like it.

I am planning on getting a Harbor floor jack so I guess that counts as a mod It will make it much easier for general stuff under the truck, greasing my UCA bushings, and also when I finally get around to cranking the coilovers up a little bit.
