    depends on what kind of atmosphere you're looking for. Here we like hole in the wall types of joints. But there are a bunch of cool sit down and more dress up places too. Which are you looking for and are you open to cultural foods?

    I like the hole in the wall local spots..nothing fancy..but good....i love trying new kinds of food and I love sushi and seafood...my wife and I are just more into going to those little spots because they are normally the best

    if you're in Waikiki then head over to Kuru Kuru in Kahala Mall for a quick but awesome sushi experience. Other places out there and some scattered locations are South Shore Grill, Sugois, Young's Fish Market (Hawaiian Food). I'll post more as I can come up with them. And I'm sure the other guys will start to chime in on their favorite spots too.

    Could hike up koko head out in Hawaii Kai. I'd guess over 1000 people do it daily from sunrise to sunset. It's a ton of steps to a great view out on the eastern tip, and there's Sandy Beach a little down the road where we hang out some times to drive through the sand.

    Some nice beaches in Kailua, but it's flooded with tourists. Also some good breakfast places there too. While everyone raves over Cinnamon's and Boots & Kimos....I'd rather eat at Moke's or the Times Coffee Shop...usually no wait and good food for a cheap price.
