I seriously need to get one... But I just got a fuse block. Got to wait a while before spending more or I face the wife... Haha.

I'm confused as to why the foam tape isn't pre-applied to the cap, and is instead the installer's job to apply it to the truck???

It's important for the gasket to be applied to the truck.

If it was applied to the cap, it would let dirt get between the gasket and the truck, and it would eventually eat a hole through the paint.

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
Could you make a complete bed kit? The side rails are TERRIBLE as well, especially those of us with bed caps! (see here)

I would buy this in a hearbeat!

Right now I'm focusing on the tailgate caps, but you never know what's going to happen down the line.

Has anyone, tested these with a topper? Just wondering if since it is higher, would it interfere with how the back glass closes? BTW, nice products!

Not that I know of yet, but we'll find out as soon as OZ-T gets his, which should be in a few days.

I can say this: if your glass is curved, fitment with this tailgate cap might be an issue, but if the glass is flat, it will fit better with this cap.

Hmmm, that sounds right. Problem is I think mine is curved. Guess I will have to get a look at it tonight and see. Can you get some measurements of the difference from old to new? Or did I miss that earlier?

My cap only sticks out about 1/8" to 1/4" past the back of the tailgate, in the center.

    Is your glass curved?

I diff. want to get this. I need to replace my tail gate cap. I went to the dealership and they wanted $140.00!! For just a piece of plastic!! The cheapest I saw for a OEM tailgate cap was $110 online. This looks a lot better a diff more sturdy.

    Stock, for now

Great affordable product! I will be needing something likethis in the future, I want to see some more post from people with a topper. Ihave a best top soft top and the back window bar is a little bit tight nowclosing the tailgate. Just wondering how it would be with this...

Are the mounting holes slotted at all, could a guy use1/8" gasket and get it a little closer to the tailgate?
    Thanks!
