That grille would look 100times better colormatched. I really wanted speedway blue for my first tacoma, such a unique awesome color, but ended up with silver as it was a really good price

Love the bracket, I want one. I was going to try to use the handle screw somehow instead of drilling through my plastic pillar cover.
    Nice though

Got the same grill, but color matched to my black sand pearl truck. It's the nicest of the cheaper aftermarket grills I think. I get a lot of compliments on it. And luckily not as many people have it

Nice! I want to do one on mine too. I have been ever since the 12's came out. It'll be easy for you, all you need now is the hood, bumper, and grill :D I use to think we'd need the fenders too but I've read and heard that the fenders are the same.

are there any brackets or anything you have to change? Or literally just the grill and hood and whatnot.

Not that I know of. I'm almost positive that you don't. The mounting points should be all the same between the years. I'm still thinking of doing this after I get a bumper so I'll only have to get headlights, grill, and hood. I don't mind getting rid of my retrofits for headlights that have a bhlm and just get LED lights, but I don't want to get rid of the grill and not be able to find one for a 12 and up without spending 4-500 on it. Also, I'd want a hood with a scoop. Who knows...maybe I'll get a bumper and finally find someone local getting rid of a scooped hood and be happy with it as is. Not like I'd be able to do this anytime soon, lol.

I wanted to do this so bad. I love the new front ends. It's a little more involved than just a couple parts (hood, front grill) there's a bit more to it. There's a few guys on here (rad and someone else) who did it and I followed it. It's pricey too.

    heres link

I believe you do have to get a few brackets.

    Yup, whole front end

Im between getting 6" fenders or 2012 1 piece, and going with DTF bumper also

Just two little brackets that hold the headlights on the bottom

Well, there ya have it! lol I browsed through RAD's thread on his conversion, must have overlooked the brackets area. Anyways, keep in mind that not all colors match up. Like for me, my 08 is BSP and 12+ is just black so I'd have to get the parts painted to match.

That's true. Wasn't 2008 the last year for that color?

If anybody is thinking of doing this, the carriers will be on sale at your local Harbor Freight in October.

Parking Lot Sale - Oct 10-12, doors open at 7am.

Nosi...any chance we can get close-up pics of how you attached the carrier? Looked on your Build post, but it isn't clear to me. Thanks.
