    SMOKE IN THE CAB???? I PLUGGED A DRILL INT O THE BED OUT LET IT WORKED GRET FOR A MINUTE THEN IT CUT OFF. WHEN I WENT TO INSPECT THE ISSUE I NOTCED THE CAB WAS FILLED WITH SMOKE AND THE OUTLET WOULD NO LONGER WORK. WHAT HAPPENED??? THE SMOKE WAS BEING EMITTED FROM THE GOLVE BOX AREA. :eek::eek::eek:

    Sounds like you fried your inverter! :confused: On my DC Automatic it's underneath the armrest storage console. Do you have a 5-speed? Maybe it's behind the glove compartment on those models.

    Thats What I Figured As Well. I Have An Auto Too. Im Taking It In On Friday To Get That Ansd The Tsb Rear Leaf Thing Done. It Just Amazed Me That That Outlet Cant Power I Drill What The H#@% Good Is It Then?

    behind your glove box is where all the wires going to the ECU. I doubt the inverter would be mounted there. I think it will be in the armrest, regardless of transmission.

    whats more important is the amperage, that outlet does not put out many amps. its also 115 volt not 120

    it is made to handle small appliances fine, but not power tools. charge your phone, or computer, one member has run a blender for margaritas while camping, toaster, maybe a small tv, that kind of thing. no drills or saws

    watts and amps are related and I doubt there is much of a difference between 110 volts and 120 volts.

    Watts=Amps*Volts A 115 volt, 400 watt outlet can power something that requires 3.5 amps.

    yes fool, i'm well aware that amps and watts are related. since our voltage is lower than that of a standard home outlet, the equation is off, meaning that the total amps being put out by the outlet is less than a 120 volt home outlet. so having said that, appliances with a relatively low amp requirement will work fine even though the voltage is lower than in a house outlet, but power tools, which require higher amperage will not work without burning something up. fool

    You know what really grinds my gears? Poop in my yard. I had to stop the lawnmower to kick dog poop out of my way. I don't even own a dog. If I ever find out who's dog poop that belongs to, I am going to go poop on their front porch.
