Procomp package deal on 2015 tacoma

Our toyota dealership offered us a 6inch procomp lift, procomp rims and extreme ll tires, running boards and recalibrator as a 60000 mile 3 year package deal.The thing is we wanted a fabtech lift and wouldn't get that package and would have to go outside the dealership to have it installed. Is it really worth it to give all that up for a fabtech lift that will not see a whole lot of off roading?

 

What is the cost for the truck? I can imagine the mark-up is high versus your cost to buy the parts outside the dealer.

 

In my area they get msrp for the trucks and they will put everything on for about the same price I could have it done for.ive negotiated a decent deal.I may be able to squeeze out 1500$ more if I do it somewhere else but that would include reselling the old parts and I would loose the dealership backing

 

That would be ok then. Most Tacoma owners are doing the 3" lifts for off-road use but 6" lifts are nice looking on our trucks too.

 

Fabtech is a more popular lift...is it really that much better that I should not take this deal?

Obviously you care about having the lift warrantied, so I'd just go with it. I doubt Pro Comp is a mega pile of crap compared to the Fabtech.

Yes thanks I've read that...Won't be offroading to much in this rig so I don't expect those problems

 

Go for it then. You aren't likely to see the limits of either suspension anyway, just make sure you know what you're getting into with a lift that size and all that it entails.

If I didn't go with BDS I would a went with Pro comp most likely.

What you might regret is any spacer or block. If you add coilovers/new leafs its a whole new ballgame

 

There is all lot to know that is for sure and I'm just beginning to scratch the surface

I'm told it is a procomp add a leaf with coils up front...is there I should ask for? They will work with me

Wow really. ...i will be talking a with the procomp rep next week to find out exactly about the lift.It is a 6inch lift.it will be at this time I will need to know exactly what I need to add to make it right.

 

I believe 18 inch procomp rims and 35inch procomp extreme ll tires I believe. It's all a package that the dealership gets through a place that does all procomp.so they get price breaks and warranties. No other dealer will do this to a new truck
