    Hello everyone,
(2014 tacoma 4x4 quad cab short box) I was driving on the highway at 120kms/h with wind Blowing in opposite direction of travel. when this loud and obnoxious buzzing sound (like air seeping through tight ballon) started to happen. I'm under the impression that it is a bad seal in the windshield, although it may be something completely different. If anyone has herd this sound and has any information please comment. I also took a video with iPhone but I am not sure how to post it on here to give you guys a better idea, so any Info regarding that would help as well.
    Thanks for lookin out.
    Take care

Grill. Take it to dealer, simple fix. There is a TSB.

You can search here on TW for more info.

Love this site. Mine did the same yesterday during our wind storms.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
    Which side?

When I had a noise coming from the truck around that speed, I found out it was the antenna. The wind was hitting it just right, causing a buzzing sound (like air through a balloon).

Here' a link to a similar issue i had with my truck for comparison:

    http://youtu.be/gcPeWdiQuRw

You could try applying masking tape around at the windshield. If the noise goes away, you've confirmed the source.

Fyi.. i'm new to the forum. If 3 messages show up i apologize.

    Cheers,

    Shawn

Two TSB's on this, it could be the windshield or it could be your Rubber trim above the grille under the hood.

    Its likely your door seals.

When it does it, reach over and pull the door tighter, id bet the pitch changes or it stops all together.

Never heard of the door seal being a problem, any threads on that?

Just had the same noise this past weekend. At around 85 mph and a cross wind. It was the window or door seal. I could push on the window and noise would stop. Sucks because it is always windy in KS.

I had to put drip line into the seals to make them stop making noises. It's a known issues and lots of people have the problem, its just not everyone can hear it.

Seen this problem several times at the dealer and its the trim around the windshield. If still under warranty replace the windshield with new trim.

Mine does that once in a while on hot days while on the highway at 70+ MPH.

I know it's the windshield because when it does it, I'll gently push out on the glass just under the rear view mirror..... and it instantly goes away, release your hand and it starts back up.

... Try it to see if it's your truck's glass.

Lets just put it this way, i had the dealer reseal the windshield on my truck, issue still occurs. and when it does i notice the passenger side mirror vibrates like the whole door is vibrating. i have yet to catch it at a point where i can pull on the door to see if it stops, but i put some extra weather stripping on the top corner of the door as there is a HUGE flap there that i could see flapping creating a sound, so now its pushed tight against the door. I have yet to hear it sense, but cant say i have driven in any good crosswinds.
