I have 5100 all the way around. The fronts are set at highest groove. My front did not lift. Does this mean I need new coil springs? If so what springs. I also have a rear high rake. How do I know if I have a aal. How many leafs are in a stock 02 Tacoma leaf pack? My problem is I bought 5100 to fix the rake and raise my front end and it has made the rake worse. I had a 2" spacer on top of the coil that I removed and hoped the 5100 would help.:confused:confused:confused:

If you had a 2" spacer on top of the stock coil over. Then put wore out stock coils on a 5100 on the highest setting of course your not going to get an noticeable lift. The highest setting is only supposed to give 2.5" lift. And your stock coils are no doubt dead. Thus no net gain in lift.

Stock pack has two leafs and the overload for a total of three leafs

Ome coils or Eibachs are about your only choice.

I'd just spend the money for a real coil over though.

I see you have 33x12.50. I had those on a 98 with a 2" body lift and some offset rims. I bought it that way. I could tell there was quite a bit of wheel well cutting and when I bought brand new 33x12.50s I had to hammer the press weld a little more. What all do I need to do to a stock truck with 5100 to achieve this?

    I could settle for 285/75/r16

I can't figure out how to post photos from my iPad on here, but my leaf pack is 3 together with a clamp holding them. The. Under ether that is a smaller single leaf, then under that is a really thick leaf bent the other way/ downward

Ok I researched and found out that the 3 leaf with overload is stock.. I have a 3 leaf with overload but there is a small crooked/goofy looking leaf added in.... Aal.... Problem solved. To equal that aal in rear. I need a new front spring. Now my question is which one??

I'm also thinking of taking the 1 leaf aal off and adding the 1.5" 3 leaf progressive aal from wheelers and a new front coil to even things out

What do you mean by "real coil over"

Shocks dont lift, spacers, body lifts (doesnt change suspension at all) or longer coils do. And if you get "coilovers", you dont want to lift the truck by turning the collar down with a spanner wrench; this only adds more preload to the coil and will make the ride super stiff and unbearable.

This is a good idea... I have the Icon 3 lead AAL and I like it tho it is pretty stiff.

By real coil over he means something along the lines of Fox, Icon, King, etc that is a full front coil/shock assembly that is a direct OEM replacement

So in other words what is the best set up to go with to achieve a 2-3" lift. At a decent price. I don't want to go with the most expensive but I do want to go with the best ride quality and product quality

I can loose the 5100s but would rather not. They are really nice. I've had the bilstein hd and they were good shocks just a little too stiff especially in the rear. 5100 is butter smooth and responsive

You can keep them and go with eibach coils and dakars or all pro leafs/expo leafs (whichever suits you better)
