    I've done both ways and lifting the bed was easier i thought. Remove the 6 bolts and fill neck deal and lift it about 8" up on driver side is all you need. I had enough room to get my cordless impact in there to zip off all the little screws.

    Complete OME kit w/ 881's and dakars. All-Pro Sliders, CB, HAM Radio and various other minor stuff.
    I've dropped enough tanks and its a PITA to get your hands above the tank to disconnect fittings and lines so pulled the bed would be far easier to do. Plus, it also opens up the entire rear half of the frame to fix rust, ect.

    I've dropped my tank several times with no issues. One plug, three lines, you can drop it down a ways before disconnecting. Seems much easier than pulling the bed IMO.

    Seems easier but it's not. Especially for the older Tacomas, since they don't have quick connect fuel lines coming off the pump, and the fittings might be rusted. One side of the bed can be lifted by one person. 2 people can lift off a whole bed, but remember if you want to go fairly high or completely off that you need to remove the taillight harness.

    Piece of cake on the taco. Jack the truck up and you can sit on the ground and remove the quick-connects. Don't even have to drop the tank to do that. There's a shit-ton of space in there where the driveshaft is at.

    ^This...but mine has two plugs (fuel pump & sensor) and two lines (pressure & return). :confused:

    I've dropped mine 3 times and JLee's once. Level's of difficulty range based on the truck. Removing my bed means cutting my bedcage so that's out of the question. Jerry had a topper on at the time too...so eff that.

    No noticeable gains in mpg, butt dyno'd HP or brap.
