I am wondering if anyone know how to disable the annoying beep / dong sound when you leave your door open when the key is in the ignition.
I did a search with no luck...

I fixed this problem on my 2008.... don't think it will work on a 2004 though... there is a little button that gets depressed when the main door closes against the rear door.... on this little button there is one screw... take it out and wrap black duct tape around it(can't ever notice when reassembled) to keep the button depressed at all times. Then put the piece back in place and put the screw back in..... (Short and not very detailed explanation cas I don't think it will work on an 04)

Even if it did work, then when the door is open the dome light wouldn't turn on. I want to know where the speaker is. Or what wire powers the speaker that makes the noise.

so i guess there is no code to this like the one for the passanger side ding. i would like to disable mine. it really gets on my nerves when i am working on the farm, it is a pain. i don't want to give up the light, to loose the sound. i wish i could just clip the wire to whatever makes the sound, lol.
