I promise before I even get this started that I have looked around on 3" lifts and what tire size... I swear.

I am planning on lifting my truck with some Bilstein 5100's and ProComp coil springs in the front. However, I am running a body armour bumper in the front (roughly 170lbs) and need to know if I will be able to fit my tires with minimal to no rubbing, (hence why I opted to buy a stiffer spring to combat the extra weight.) I purchased Method NV's which are a 17x8.5 and would like to run 285/70/17 Duratracs. Are these a true 33" tire? Will these fit? Is this in the wrong section? Am I stupid? Will I need rear leafs?

Sorry if redundant and thank you for any answers.

Im pretty sure you can fit 33s with a 3 inch lift. What is the spring rate on the coils? The 285 are just a hair under 33s- about 32.7 The only rubbing you might get is on the frame, depending on your backspacing. 3.5" backspacing should be good.

33's on a 3" lift here. Minor trimming for on road, steep driveways etc. Will likely have to do some more when off road. I was at a local member's house doing a suspension upgrade and decided to get a CMC in anticipation for the 33's. Can't say if it would have mattered, but my guess is when flexing, it would have rubbed there.

Do you plan on running skids, sliders?

Might want to look into OME with 886's

The backspacing is 4.5". Spring rate I am not sure, I just know they are procomp 3" lift coils

Skids, no. Possibly some sliders but that will be further down the road; I have a pipe bender so if I do I'll probably fab them myself. Excuse my ignorance, but what is a CMC? I've just heard the Bilstein's are a reliable way to go for a relatively inexpensive lift; the truck was in an accident so I don't have a huge amount of money after fixing it and figured this was the most reliable and cost efficient way to do things.

That's something I'm a little apprehensive about doing myself.
Do shops typically do it? If so, what's the labour rate?
Does it cause any issues with structural integrity?

Do shops typically do it? I wouldn't think they would take the "risk"

You cut out the cab mount and box it back in. So no. Here's a "how-to" that kinda explains the process. The pics weren't working for me as I am at work.
