I've never had balancing issues but now that I have ~30k miles on them, they are getting pretty noisy. They sound like an MT on the highway. I never really noticed the noise when I had a loud aftermarket exhaust, but now that I'm running the quiet factory muffler again they definitely roar on the highway.

Leer shell, bedliner, helwig helper springs, hid aux driving lights. UPDATE: 33x12.5x15 duratracs, buds skid plate & belly pan (delivered not yet installed); now need good bolt-on sliders... UPDATE: Ordered bamf sliders, LCA skids, & badlands rear bumper
Sorry in advance for spelling, grammar, etc; did this on my phone during lunch...

    Went with 33x12.5x15 & 15x8 alloy wheels w/ 3.7" backspacing from tirerack.

Kinda regret changing the backspacing so much from stock wheel at ~4.5" as these measure 3.5" and they have way more sidewall clearance to the uca then stock (my main concern was this clearance reducing significantly) and they seem to have plenty of frame clearance at full lock. They look like heavy negative offset wheels but aren't... Oh well...

Did the pinch weld mod over the weekend and can make it out of driveway now with only a little rubbing going over bumps while turning (around town) on stock suspension; need a lot more work on that before even mild off road driving. Will do a 2" or 3 inch lift, but figure I deal with rubbing issue easier now without it. Looking for as much articulation as possible out of stock UCAs & LCAs (w/ swaybar disconnect, etc)

Playing with tire pressure to see what it likes with the much larger tires over the stock 265/70r16.

Happy with them besides the backspacing; only gained 10lbs per tire over stock wheels & M/S2s, from 60lbs up to 70lbs, & hum isn't too bad; about what I expected for an aggressive AT tire.

For balancing, one of them only has 1/2 oz., but some took much more than the Michelins on the stock wheels; nothing like some things a saw here.

Do notice the ratio change from the 6% taller tires but don't feel like they are working the 2.7L much and don't notice any big loss in power. If i was okay with the open diffs or already had LSDs or locker, I'd leave it the ratio as is, but i have stock 4.30s with 5 spd manual though. There is a dude on here running 35x12.5x15 KM2s on this setup; but 5th gear is useless for him (relentless taco or something; a fab guy in Reno I think)

I do notice more drag, but am running them at a much lower pressure than the other tires, 28 up front but rears only have 22psi. I often run the M/S2s @ 30 psi; it helps the mpg a lot more than it hurts tread wear.

Would have preferred 33x10.5x15s duratracs (if they made them) on 15x7, especially if they were significantly lighter...

can get pics up soon, if people want them that is....

    UPDATE 7/20/14:

Filled up the tank & set the tires to 28psi; drove it for couple days and when it got down to 1/2 a tank & filled up.

I felt like I was pushing it a little harder than normal, but I that's not saying much; I accelerate really easy.

Anyway lately I have been getting 21.5 mpg on the stock wheels/tire and got 20.5mpg with 33" duratracs. Mpg only dropped 5%. It's only based on half a tank so it could a couple compounding errors, but time will tell. Will update this as I get more data.

Can someone tell me if the duratrac in 265/75r16 will fit with no rubbing my 2010 ac 4x4 with stock wheel and suspension.
I know that some tire in that size are rubbing and i don't want to lift the truck.
    Thx

Had zero issues with my 33x12.50x15 on my 84 Toyota.... only parted with them cause I went to a bigger tire.
Wanting to get a set of 265/75/16 for my Tacoma but not liking what I'm reading about balancing issues.

Mine sound like a tank comin' down the road. Of course, I've got 62K on em', hehe...so, I figure I'm doin' pretty well. I will, however, be replacing them soon. They're goin' fast at this point. First 40K, loved em'. Not sure if I'm gonna' get em' again. I used to do a lot more off roading than now. And they're a bit aggressive for mostly street use. Pretty good tire imo.

Wonder if those with no issues could post the DOT build code on theirs, and compare when they were made to those with the worst problems.

    Real quick,probably stupid question.
Discount Tire says duratracs in 265/75/16 C rated can only be had with the white lettered sidewall. Can I just have them rotate the white letters in to have the black sidewall?

Yes. Many tires come that way. Just mount with white letters on inside.

have some input on what PSI you're running on front/back for these? I'm curious since I just had 235/85R16s mounted a couple weeks back and haven't really found time to do the chalk test yet. I know I should be running them higher than what the doorjamb label says, but a good starting point would be appreciated (note: the techs who mounted them have them at ~39-40 PSI right now).

    Thanks!

I have these up at 40PSI and have no problems. I aired them up and went for a long (4 hour) highway drive and have had no problems. If I was doing a lot of fire road driving I would definitely air down for a softer ride.

i love mine so far. got them brand new 265/65/17 on 17" KMC Enduros. was out in in Banff clear perfectly fine weather Sat. Sunday AM big heavy dump, i felt very confident on the road no slippage, highway lots of grip and felt confident pulling away to pass on snow covered roads. i have maybe 1000KM on them now they have been super quiet for such an aggressive looking tire

I have a love hate relationship with these tires. This morning, it was really slick and we had black ice. The tires worked great. In the snow, I think they handle just as I would want. However, they are getting louder by the day and I have had them rotated twice and I don't think I'm quite to 10k miles. Plus, I live with a steering wheel shake at anything above 50mph because I'm tired of going back to have them balanced.

I had them and had no issues whatsoever. It's a good mix of AT and MT when it comes to overall performance.

The same shit everyone else has.
Finally got mine mounted up tonight.

When I was getting them balanced, I asked the guy to check the air in all of em and make sure it was at 32psi per the door sticker. He said I need to run them right around 40psi. Seems kinda high to me....

What air pressure do you guys typically run them at? Mine are 265/70/17s, C rated, on stock Sport wheels.
