It makes the transmission shift at a higher rpm than usual for hauling big loads or towing.

It was completely rebuilt about 2 years ago. So has less than 1000 miles on everything.

    • Greased my driveshafts - I counted 9 zerks unlike the "5" listed in the tech section. Pictures/video coming in a thread.
    • 2-lo mod (where I unplugged the blue plug on my push-button transfer case)
    • Realized I don't have the socket that fits to check the lug nut torque
    • Rolled around under my truck and appreciate that it's a California truck with no rust. I'm going to miss this once I move to Colorado where they spray calcium chloride all over the roads.

Funny, I've lived here over 35 years. I've never seen an indigenous vehicle rust in this state. My 96 has 0 rust. You will find more rust free classic cars and trucks here than any other state in the country. I'm not talking restored either, original condition.
    Btw, its magnesium chloride.

Yo Jason, I too moved to Co from Cali. What my good buddy Brett says (BDN). They use a small sized rock called squeegee mixed with minimum amount of magnesium chloride. I use to make it for a landscaping company here. So it is not as bad as some other states.

Toyota Tacoma is the only truck that is sold in the USA :oldglory: and does not have Auto Climate control. this should be an easy mod. How can we make this happen.

Odd, if you've lived there 35 years, how do you know the general state of other vehicles in other states? :p

I'm betting AZ and NM has CO beat because, well, desert. ;)

Yep. Only way we get rust out here is I'd we have bare metal and go through the one puddle there is when it rains in the desert out here
