Well I got a set of Load C duratracs, drove them for 50k miles with 9/32 tread left but went varmint hunting the other day and drove over some cactus, thought it was soft...well got both my front tires' sidewall punctured. What I can say is that they are starting to loose traction. So I got a set of BFG KO load E, enjoying it so far. Didn't really care for the KO2.

It's unmolested, all original. Been looking for years for a clean example like this....in white of course. More info in my build thread below...

Just got mine installed today as well. My friend at Firestone hooked it up! I can feel the difference going Load E over my stock Rugged Trails. The tires feel stiffer on the road and steering is heavier, which I like. Acceleration is slightly less, but it's minimal.

See, i actually feel different about mine. Mine feels like the steering got better, and the truck runs and feels better on the road. I really havent felt any difference in the acceleration.

Well i checked my MPG's today, filled it up before i left, then again when i got to where i was going. Before i was averageing about 20MPG and now im averageing about 19.2MPG's. So not a huge difference, also im not a "hold it to the floor" kinda driver, so that might be why mine didnt change much. Plus the trip today was a mixture of both things, fourlane, and 2 lane, some hills and some level roads. So it wasnt just a straight 4-lane drive. Just thought i would give my two cents on what i found.

Having run a couple sets of BFG A/T TA KOs and now on my second vehicle with Duratracs, I have zero complaints about the Duratracs. I never could get the BFGs to balance and I found that they were so-so in mud and snow. The Duratracs are pretty good all around, though a bit noisy. That said, I have over 40,000 kms on them and they're wearing great.

The new KO 2s would really, really have to be something for me to consider them. Maybe on the old 4Runner.

Yes, back in the late 80's. there was a big stink about a French company buying out a North American brand. But not a lot changed by way of how they ran the company. the French said since it was working fine before they bought it, why change it.

I just put a set of 275-70-17 on my 2011 access cab. Mileage for me is about the same as it was stock (not great) even with S/C. Avg 16 mpg last tank full. Not my daily driver so no big deal. Wish the Tacoma had a bigger gas tank for those longer trips. No complaints so far about the KO2's, nice tire. I also have the Duratrac's on a couple of my other vehicles, they are nice also.

What a useless argument. The MPG difference between E and D is negligible.
