Also I wonder if the fuel guage will still work in this tank?

 

I'd love that one. 33 gallons would be at 19.5 would be over 600 miles to a tank. Much better than now.

I wonder if they are the Australian ones , there is only one or two shipments to the US per year , it would make sense because Gauntlet Overland carries some cool Aussie Pelican cases as well

 

I'm not putting them down or anything. Love to extend the range of the truck. Kinda sucks it's not in stock.

 

It would take some serious witchcraft to keep it the same physical size as the stock tank while increasing the volume by 33% .....

 

I guess I expect too much. For that price two 5 gallon Jerry cans on my swingout seems like a good alternative.

 

Plus you're adding around 100 lbs of extra fuel and the new weight of the tank... So that may affect mpg for people that care about that.

 

For the price I would rather relocate the spare tire and add an auxiliary tank (like the one available for the FJ) to double the capacity.

 

And all the extra weight is in the same location as stock. Prepare for extreme taco lean and sagging leaf springs on that side.
