Regarding the Rostra mirrors, they are not panoramic - they are regular rearview mirrors (not sure what you'd call them..."flat" maybe?)

And regarding the post about the temp sensor - this is not tapped into anything on the vehicle. Two wires are run from the mirror to the temperature sensor; there is no connection to any of the vehicle wiring for the temperature sensor itself. The only vehicle wiring is via the 14 pin plug above the overhead console.

im intersted in this baby right here..

New Gentex autodim Homelink mirror, plug & play wiring or hardwire harness, and wire cover. Cost $199.

I see the used ones are 50 bucks cheaper...how used is used?

this would be a replacement for my 08 DCLB that already has a autodim, but no homelink....verified there is a 14 pin connector plugged into the existing mirror

Ok - so I contacted my rep at Rostra regarding this. There are two sets of instructions relating to the Tacoma DRL kit.

One lists the kit contents & where to mount the DRL's: http://www.rostra.com/manuals/260-1002-TAC1_Form5300.pdf

The other goes into more detail on how to install the system, but these are generic instructions and not written specifically for the Taco, so you will have to do some research on where to make the various wiring connections: http://www.rostra.com/manuals/DRL-Form5313.pdf

Unfortunately a detailed step-by-step set of instructions for the Tacoma is not available for the DRL kit.

    Hi Bob,
I just received my mirror today and it is in outstanding shape! A BIG Thanks for picking out a good one.

Just to let others know, I ordered a used mirror from Bob and when he was packaging it, he noticed that it was not up to his standard of quality so he let me know that shipping was delayed a few days until a "nice" one was in house....and a nice one it is!

For those who find themselves in the same spot I was in, perhaps this post will help. I included pictures showing which wires to tap into on the map lights and compass. It is extremely simple to install one of these on a Taco that has the compass/temp display. Just get a basic auto-dimming mirror w/ or w/o Homelink since you already have a compass and temp. There is no temp gauge to run that way! For those who don't have the built in compass/temp, this may not be for you.

Has anyone installed one of the temp mirrors in a 2014 or 2015? I am looking for compass, homelink, autodim, and temp. What is the word on the temp sensor? Do we have to run a new wire?

I just want a new one with Autodim, and Homelink in it for my 2015. How much is that gonna run? I don't care about temp or compass. And will I have to run any wires? Or is it plug and play with something up in the headliner?

Hmmm....with things being crazy the last few weeks, I never gave any thought to this.

How about this...for anyone who contacts me today thru Sunday the 30th, you'll get 10% off any mirror we have, new or used.

Now...with tomorrow being Thanksgiving, I won't be around to respond to emails until possibly late, but as long as you email or text me today thru Sunday, you'll get 10% off the prices listed at the beginning of this thread.

Be sure to either text your name / email address / mirror you're looking for to 219-575-9220 or email me directly at rearviewmirrors@csinet.net (please do not PM me on the forum - I can't always log on, so I may not see messages if they are sent to the forum, so contact me directly). I will get back to everyone, although it may not be right away as we will be visiting with family during this long weekend.

    Thank you!:)

Okay I got my console off in my 2015 and it has a red wire, and a green wire, and a white with black stripe wire. Can I still hook up a mirror with just Auto Dim, and the Homelink?

Yes. All that is required for autodim homelink or compass is power and a a ground. That's what you have...constant 12v, switched 12v and ground. Only if you wish to add a temp sensor would you need to run any wires. Beside that, Bobs mirrors are plug and play (he will install the proper connector for you). Install takes about 10 minutes if you are not adding temp and about 45 if you are.
