Thanks, that helps a lot. Obviously my top choices right now are dmz and dtf because I havent heard anything bad about either one. Dmz is about 10 minutes from my house, wish I had the money to just drop off the truck and tell them to have at it haha. the giant kit has "bolt on" going for it so far.

any tricks for getting a seal head back into a shock? Ive got one FOA shock that is defiantly milled a bit too big in the oring seats. I cant get it back into the shock without pinching O-rings. The amount of force to get it in is far beyond pushing it back in with my fingers like the other one.

I've heard rumor that the Fox Of Asia shocks are kind of inconsistent. Maybe send it back to them?

I did that for the front FOA shocks and it was a nightmare trying to get them back. I've got my rear FOA shocks to go back together once (fixing them out of the box from improper assembly), but this one is apart again due to a main seal damaged by a ding from a rock hit on the shaft. Pain in the butt...

The short story is everything bad said about them is true. I could go on about it but if I can just get this oversized seal head back in again, then I can wheel for awhile :)

The kit is "bolt on" just in the hangers. otherwise its just like the other kits. You still need to weld your axle perches, cycle your leafs when building your cage, weld up a cage, etc... Those rivets that hold your stock hangers are a PIA to grind/drill out. If your already welding in a few places then just add hangers to the list. Lots of fab shops down there btw.

If you bug them they will send you parts free. They sent me new top caps for my old bump stops when i blew one out, along with other miscellaneous parts. Try throwing it in the freezer for a while, then putting it in? Might make it just small enough to jam in there. Also, grease the o ring. Just some ideas, I personally havn't had to deal with not being able to get a seal head in but with FOA's quality control I'm not surprised.

Good ideas in there thanks! I'm going to try and order a rebuild kit and request only the orings that keep getting cut during there black friday sale.

Yeah its a real roll of the dice with FOA. I went for the lower prices just like every other sucker. One of my rear shocks rebuilds normal as advertised. This troubled one is a real muscle test. I even ordered another seal head but that one is also too tight. Must be a bad batch, but I wont hold my breath for a recall lol.

You can try a variety O ring kit, people have had luck with using one that fits. Give them a call and put a little pressure on them... they offered to have me ship them in and theyd rebuild for cost of shipping, but I told them I'd read bad things about their turn around time and I needed them ASAP. They ended up sending about 60 bucks worth of parts free. Didn't even pay shipping.
I've found most times companies will take care of you if it's their mistake. I ordered 200 bucks worth of uniballs and misalignments from BBM last week, they made a mistake and sent it to my billing address instead of shipping address. After calling, they ended up just sending out a whole new order to my shipping address! That's what I consider good service...

Camburg parts are extremely competitive in pricing. Their fit and finish is head and shoulders above the competition. Their customer service and replacement parts support are fantastic as well.

I've seen their new SUA kit in person and it is phenomenal. It truly surpassed any and all of my expectations. Just on initial impression alone, it blows away all the other SUA kits. They just do not compare. How it performs I cannot personally comment on yet, but I have heard from a number of people that it does fantastic.

No one was talking about DTF's welds, he's a great welder. Idk why he thought anyone was...

I was talking about whoever slung some boogers on the uca gussets and limit strap clevis mounts.

Hey guys I'm about to pull the trigger on headers for my tacoma, I'm looking at the URD Spec U long tubes. Anyone running them? On the description is says they won't fit with the Chaos coil bucket reinforcement, which I do not have but plan on getting or making my own down the road. So I want to see if anyone knows how close they get to the coil bucket or what it would take to make them fit with coil bucket reinforcements.
