Can this bracket be installed on an Avid light bar or at another position on the bumper?

Honestly, I can't confirm that it would. You need space (1" for 2005-2011, 1/2" for 2012-2015) between the bumper and the bar. Tacomaworld member, RobReck, installed his bracket with a bull bar on his truck (http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/bu...-no-drill-front-license-plate-bracket-10.html). You would install it a little different than the instructions that comes with the bracket. The bracket's "U" shape spring body would have to be in the installed position when you slip it in between the bumper and the Avid light bar. To do this you would squeeze the bracket from "V" position so that it would be in the "U" position. place the bracket between the light bar and the bumper by slipping the bottom part of the bracket first the position the bracket in the installed position (http://www.slybrackets.com/photo-gallery-2/).

Thanks. I am planning to install an LED light bar behind the bumper grill. Thus, the need to relocate the license plate. The bracket might work on the bottom part of the bumper grill.

I thought I should start posting some random feedbacks:

    "Ernest,

The brackets came in*today, took me just as long to read the directions as it did to put the brackets on the truck.* Thank you, those are really well designed!

Will these brackets hold a vanity plate for the front, say like a pewter college team plate?

    Thanks,

    Byron

I've have only tested the brackets' strength with up to a 5 lb weight with no sign of stress at all. And, that was just one bracket. The Sly Bracket has two brackets to hold a license plate. Hope this helps.

Thanks, placed a order plate is no where that heavy so I am going to try it out. I will take pictures and give a review of how it works.
    Thanks,

    Ordered a bracket.

My issue is that the N-Fab light bar obscures the license plate on the bumper (holes already drilled, unfortunately). I tried moving the plate on an old Crown Vic front plate bracket down to the air dam but it just didn't look right. So, now I have a total of SIX holes.

It appears the bracket will hold the plate low enough to not be obscured by the light bar and will cover up the lower four holes so hopefully I solve multiple problems at once.

    Will update accordingly.

    Thanks Ernest!

    Edit 12-29-14:

Got the brackets. Nice piece of kit! Ernest is a solid dude to deal with. Shipped fast, packed well, and very lightweight, simple, effective design. It was even easier to install than the instructions would have you believe, took maybe 30 seconds to snap them both in the lower grille.

I got this not because I didn't want to drill (my bumper was already drilled), but because I wanted to find some definitive solution for mounting the front plate with my N-Fab lightbar. This bracket drops the plate down just enough that all the lettering is visible below the light bar. I'd actually like the plate to sit maybe 1/2" lower, but I'm happy with it as is.

Plenty of pics in this thread and on his site, but none with the N-Fab, so here; for those who may have a similar setup and are interested in a Sly bracket:

Ernest, if you want to use the pics, go ahead; I don't care if you leave my plate number visible.

Got my brackets and have installed. I think they are going to work just great. Quick and easy to install. They look great and feel solid with the tag installed.

Just got mine and installed in minutes of opening the package. Thanks!
Feels solid and saved me from drilling into my bumper. Worth it.

The "bracket" is really two independent brackets, so I would *think* it would work with a wider plate, just move the brackets over a little.
