    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/203889-maxtrac-spindle-lift-2nd-gen-prerunners.html link for the maxtrac thread so you can see the different options. Are u 4x4??? If not i would go with a 3" spinle lift fromt maxtrac. Coilovers up front with barely any preload which will give you a nice ride up fron and the all pro expos in the rear with 10" shocks to compensate for the droop since youll be towing your motorcycle. That setup right there will give you a true 3" maybe even 4" lift. It did with my 1st gen but might be a little different with second.

    im not quite sure im definetly going OME but if i do ill have to decide on coils. which coils would you recommend? i wanted to try and get a full 3" lift but it appears i need to put a spacer up front to achieve the full 3" with an OME lift. how much lift will i get without spacers?

    887 = 3" with no spacer.

    OME is definitely the best bang for buck. I've had my OME setup for close to 8 years and 125k miles. I'm now transitioning to a mid travel set up with King coilovers. IMHO if I could do it all over again, I'd go straight to the mid travel set up. Offroading 6-12 times per year is still a decent amount of times wheeling.

    Keep in mind that coilovers can be rebuilt, whereas the OMEs go kaput when they're done. How I've lasted 125k is honestly a mystery lol. I don't have my front suspension hauled over yet, but I've read that coilovers vs. OME is pretty significant. I can tell you that having already switched my rear suspension, it feels a lot better in the rear with my Kings w/ resis vs my old OME set up.

    idk, these trucks are money pits and people are always changing up their minds on what they want. If you can, try to do it all right the first time. JMO, good luck

    again, why not go fox up front, adjust to the exact height you want, take care of taco lean with adjustability. have you not read about all the bitching and whining about taco lean that so many of us have? fox rides a fuckton better than ome and since you don't plan on wheeling the truck much that should be a priority. oh along with the fact the when the fox's get old they are rebuildable, ome is not. i have no experience with icon myself. i suggest you look up taco lean.

    wait, OME is the only suspension on the market, you can only buy that one, it is the best.... think about it, most ppl buy ome cause it's not that expensive, not because its super awesome, it can carry weight up front somewhat well but you don't mention getting bumper and winch. i liked my dakars but the ome rear shocks did not impress, especially for the price. the front of my truck clunked when the coilovers topped out all the time. it's good stuff but isn't the best thing since sliced bread.

    i think i have it narrowed down to the Toytec Ultimate kit with Dakars or Toytec Boss kit with Dakars and some camburg UCAs. i wouldnt mind the OME but i like having the ability to adjust my height up front for various reasons.
    if i feel like splurging i may put up the additional $700 bucks for a Icon stage 2....but thats money i can use on the UCAs and bearing drop kit etc. decisions decisions!!

    Get Icons. Its not overkill and you arent a street queen if you go offroad 6-12 times a year and also beach driving.

    Edit: Just saw the latest post. Definitely dont get the toytec ultimate, its almost the same price as good COs. Spend the money needed and do it right the first time. With 2.5" COs you will have a much better ride on and offroad than the toytec or boss kit. You dont have to get Icon stage 2, you can get stage 1 like I did. It rides so good over crap roads and I can go really fast through awful sections of beach driving too.

    Icons are really good shocks and will allow you to off road with confidence as well as have a smooth highway ride. Also where did you order your icons from? If you ordered the, from Toytec I would cancel that order now and order from Gotexhaust.com. They have much better prices than the other vendors.

    Ok, this might be a dumb question, but I thought the OME setup was a coilover setup? Is this not correct?

    OME is a "coilover" but they pretty much classify a coil over as an adjustable suspension coilover...OME is not adjustable.
