    Hey guys

Pretty new around here..Anyway I am coming from the diesel world..So I'm all about performance mods.

I am have been trying to read up on here and learn what can be done to these trucks..I'm at a lost pretty much..Gas motors are not my thing so bare with me.

    Have a few questions

If you was going to do some performance mods..In what order would you do them...In example would you do headers before a cold air intake.

Tuning...I see pretty much no one makes a "chip" for these truck other then bully dog..Which I refuse to run,I've seen to many bad things done on diesels from bully dog.

So what kind of tunes can be bought for these truck? Or is it kinda like all computer work where you buy something and someone writes the tunes and you download it ? I'm just trying to wrap my head around this stuff...I've also seen some plug and play harness is that correct ?

What else is to be done other then a SC intake headers anything else ?

I just can't see paying that amount of money for a SC and only getting that little amount more of horse power...I just know bigger turbos made me go a lot faster then 40 hp haha

    Dam it man!!

I was flagging traffic one day and a guy pulled up in a first gen tacoma...Had stacks on it..It sounded mean,so I stopped and asked him..I said what's in this thing a diesel..He said yea a tractor motor...Only in WV.

    It sounded awesome

I would like to have a little more power..I was kinda shocked how high rpms run at 80 MPH..Of course I've been in a diesel for the past 7 years.

How far down the rabbit hole do you want to go?

Which year model is yours? If '05-'08, then you don't "have" to get the ecu reflashed, as long as you have a UCON from www.urdusa.com. If you don't have the money to spend on that, or you have an '09+, you'll have to get the reflash.
