    The way it sounded, I thought no switch in the cab meant you were going to hard-wire it maybe to a switched source.

    Finally mounted my compressor inside the engine bay. Was pretty simple. Just bought a u-shape mount at home depot for $3 and used the factory mounts to secure. Cut off the clamps and used terminal connectors so they can be permanently on the battery.

    I got tired of getting in the back of my truck, opening the toolbox and putting on the clamps etc. Now I just have to open the hood and flip the switch.

    Anyone modified a CO2 tank so that you can mount it on its side, and it pulls off of the top (as it is laying on its side)? I want to mount my tank under the truck, on it side for obvious reasons, and I have heard of making an extension on the stem so that it will pull the gas from the top rather than liquid.

    Interesting....

    I am doubtful that running extensions up vertically will help. Seems the valve itself needs to be moved so it's not drawing from the liquid :notsure:

    I met a guy on trail who had done it and said it worked great. My understanding was that he took the valve head off and added an extender tube to where it pulls from the bottle so that it is pulling near the wall of the cylinder when laid on its side.

    If you do it I'd love to see it and hear about it. For now I have my 20# in the cab although I'm not a huge fan of it being there.

    If you have any room in your bed sides id play with that idea first.
    Also found you can get two of the CKMA12 Compressors for a couple bucks cheaper than the dual- and in the end, the dual is just two ckma12 stuck together.
    Two separate ones sharing a manifold to the same tank would be easier to mount I think.

    If you don't have ABS, the dual will fit in that corner.

    I do have ABS and am going to either put it above one of the storage compartments or think about a larger box for the storage compartment and put it in that.

    I thought they all had abs?? I really wish mine didn't, as its nearly killed me several times. I've got a bunch of OEM crap in that corner so this is the only thing that fits over there. Fabbed this up to use the three OEM bolts that are sticking up. Don't know what they are there for, but they're very convenient if you know how to use em

    It's complete. Took out the combined one-way unloader and put in an electronic solenoid valve. I added a gauge while I was at it. The next time I mess with it I'll add an ARB Locker and safety blow off valve (to manually bleed off "tank" pressure).

    What is the solenoid for? Do you have a tank?
    & what's an unloader? Check valve?
