I'm working on convincing her, she is worried about being able to get into the truck if it's lifted so I'm going to drive it on some 2x10 lumber so she sees that it's not that big of a difference. In thinking of getting the toytech lift that costs around $1200 and then slowly increasing the lift so she doesn't really notice. Also she is totally down with me taking the boy out offroading/camping/hunting

Mine is 5' nothing so I got Smittybilt Nerf Steps black powder-coated. You might want to think about that or similar steps. If I had to do it again I'd go for the extra $$ and get SS since the powder-coated steps rusted after a couple of years.

Did spark plugs yesterday. Old ones weren't messed up or anything, but very worn. They all came out about .051 gap! Sent the new ones in at about .042. She doesn't really run much different, but I'm sure I'll notice it in my fuel gauge.

And I'm not sure about what required all the unbolting and what not... that was the easiest sparkplug job I've ever done. Took me an hour to do both sides.

I finally got around to installing the rest of my Clazzio leather seat covers on the back seats so now they match the front. And I also installed my new bed extender. Both of which were Christmas presents.

Painted black the 3 trim rings around the speedo/tach/temp gauges, they were gray/silverish. Also painted black the chrome trim around the bottom of the automatic shift knob.

Next I'm going to paint the steering wheel plastic pieces and the plastic around the vents near the stereo too but need to find the right color first. Those pieces are gray/silverish now.

Am I the only one that has those bed storage thingys that won't stay closed? Even with nothing in them, they pop open during normal driving. Anyone have a fix for that?

Thanks teneighty. I'll do that later this week. I don't really need the "locking" part, but the "staying closed" part is important.

Yeah, the tabs on the back may need to be bent maybe a little just to tighten it up? I like the locks and keep tow straps bungees and tie downs in there. Keeps the honest man honest.

I had a few things stolen out of them and the covers opened to see what was inside so I just took them off and don't keep anything in them. A lock would only slow down a POS thief and cause damage.
