Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
About $110. But that's with a high-volume commercial account. If I were to guess what it would cost otherwise, I'd guess around $250.
And that's for the "slow" speed. To get it here by noon, it would be closer to $600++!!

Thanks for all the assorted help y'all!
    One request, though:
Could someone post or link the specs for the pinion nut torque?
There was one part I had to swap between the thirds last time, and the nut had to come off. There's a good chance I over-torqued the crush spacer. At any rate, I'll need to do it again, so I'll need the torque specs again. I have a spare crush spacer, as well as a spare solid spacer, so no worries about parts......except for FedEx getting it here......
(I'm using my phone for interwebs access, so searching is a massive PITA. And my paper copies of everything are 1200 miles away).
    Thanks again!

Easy on that pinion nut. Unless you specifically ordered that third with a solid spacer, it has a crush sleeve in it. You tighten the pinion nut until you get the proper pinion bearing preload, which sets pinion depth, not to a set torque spec. This may be why your current third failed. If it has a solid spacer in there, you could torque it to 300 ft lbs and not hurt anything. With a crush sleeve, it's more like 80-90 ft lbs, but it's different for every third.

Holy shit Cody! Is there anything you can't do?? You and Johnny need to come to Disneyland sometime so I can pay for your whole trip down here.

As for pinion: The blown unit has a solid spacer in it. I know, I put it there.

    Update:

Picked up Shane around 1:30 and brought him to the shop. Began taking the rear end apart, learned that the ring and pinion are both FUBAR!

4:30, the new 3rd was guaranteed to arrive by this time. I called FedEx pretending to be Shane. As far as they can tell, for some off reason the package is still in Oakland CA. They can't do anything about it. It will be here Friday. (Was on the phone with them for a loooooonnnng time)

5:15, took Shane and his lady out to Beaverton Toyota rent a car. We barely made it there by closing and he was able to get a prius.....lol

    6:01, got prius!

7:30, Shane drove back to my place and loaded up the things he will need for the next couple days. He's now headed back to Grants Pass (family lives there). Safe travel my friend (5 hour drive)

So... I'm gonna call Fedex on Friday morning first thing and verify the package is indeed en route to my place. If so, Shane will drive back up north, well fix his rig when the package arrives (by 4:30 p.m.) , return the rental car, and he will be on his merry way with his family back south.

Otherwise... If package is delayed... We will make it work another way.

Wish there was more I could do for the man and his family, he's been through a lot of shit.

    Btw happy new year all!!

    Pics coming!

For sure was a crazy day. Safe travels. Cannot believe how fubared the gears and pinion were.
