It truly IS super easy, because even I was able to do it!!!! I'm reasonably competent mechanically, but electrical is definitely not my thing.

The version of this mod I used allows me to run the fog's anytime I have the lights on (park, low or high beam) but NOT when the lights are completely off - DTRL's for that...

I have been looking into this stock setup. Don't have the funds right now as I'm saving for my lift install and 285's.

Probably go this route when the time comes.

Edmonton here. 2013 TRD. Allpro Apex bumper, 265/70/17 DT's, Toytec adjustable coil-overs set around 2.5". KMX Enduro wheels.
Thinking of adding a winch, All-pro rear bumper, All-pro kick-out sliders, and getting either 255 or 285's very soon.

    Totally missed this!

I had a Kenwood double DIN in my 2007 Tacoma with Garmin nav built in. Never had any issues with it, and was able to flash maps onto it with a USB drive and cable. Only annoying thing was, I could never get the dimmer function to work right and it was way too bright at night.

Can't remember the model, but its definitely a couple years old now and I've since sold the truck with it.

I just priced out the Kenwood with Nav, and total cost of the HU and adapters runs close to 1G. Ouch!

I decided to go with the 2014/15 Toyota head unit that's being sold on this forum.

    Thanks for the info!
