Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone here in AZ has done the LED Raptor Style lights MOD on their Toyota? I have been thinking about doing it more and more lately and wondering if anyone had input. I grew up a sports buff and never got into cars, but have been slowly wanting to do it myself, wondering how hard it was. Trying to search for the thread about it but I am either looking in the wrong places or have no patinence....probably the later.

Any suggestions, advice, responses, Pictures, prices, would be great! Thanks!

this is what i would do..

2016 Limited Tacoma 4x4 dcsb Auto
in tan
bhlm the factory projectors
black grill
basic OME lift
black wheels
sliders

and thats it. leave the interior alone, the stereo alone, keep it quiet and simple on the inside. same with the outside, minus the simple lift and stuff. I just dont use my truck as much as I should with how its built.. a fresh start would be nice.. especially on the 2016..

Are you talking about replacing the fogs with LED pods? I just read a write up about this yesterday on TW. I'll see if I can find it if that's what you are looking to do.

 

No I don't want to replace the Fog lights but add the three orange led lights inside my Grille.

 

That's really simple. Basic knowledge of wiring and LED's will help. All you are doing is wiring up the LED's, adding a resistor to them (size depends on how many LEDS) and wiring up a switch.

I'm not sure if there is a writeup specifically for this, but this will guide you in the right direction. Same process, just different locations.

The wiring and voltage shouldn't be an issue, as I work for a GPS company and have to installed GPS units to vehicles. I just didn't know if there were any big cutting issues or if it was done by some type of adhesives, etc.

 

Nope. Really just drill some holes and use the LED mounts to hold them in place. Run some wire, make sure its weather proof, etc..

 

By the way Aw9d, you have a sick truck, were you by any chance driving on the 51 Yesterday around 4 or so?

 

I did it and it looks great, was super easy to do as well.
