Maybe my eyes are deceiving me, but the light output pictures looked less than amazing. It looked like a super narrow wide beam.

So is this a fog beam, or more of a low beam? I'm not a big fan of fogs and was going to fab a low beam projector into some aftermarket housings. Do you have any info on the light pattern?

I'm thinking that the the first pic is of the OEM lights. I would also like to see a night pic of the new lights and any feedback of how performance is in rain/snow.

    Those are OEM foglight pictures.

    It's a foglight.

    Very nice product!

What kind of range do they project to?

I do a lot of night driving in rural areas and am looking to supplement my headlight low beams (high beams is not always possible). I had Hella auxiliary low beams on my '92 in the fog position and they'd lay our a carpet of light further than the Hella e-code headlights with out blinding oncoming traffic. I'm trying to duplicate that.

    Hi Eric,

The range on these would be equal to your e-code headlights without question. The limitation for the range really comes in with the height at which the OEM foglights are mounted. Aiming them level, you should get very good range, I can't tell you exactly what that is as I haven't measured but I can try.

Your best bet would be getting a proper headlight retrofit with HID projectors if you want the best output but don't want to blind people. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...fs-fx-r-mini-retrofits-bhlm-no-down-time.html

Burt, that is my plan of attack with an FX-R retrofit first, then address low beam supplementation, followed by driving lights.

The E-codes and auxiliary LB were halogen, so I may be happy with just an FX-r setup and your fogs.

On my 1st gen Tundra I run an H1 headlight conversion with halogen LB Hella 50 mm projectors I fabbed into the fog light housings and Baja Designs Fuego driving lights. It does the job nicely, but I'm not super impressed with my H1's.

    PM on the way.

These fog lights are awesome. "WAY" brighter than these,
OPT7 PLASMA LED FOG LIGHT DRL Bright Projector H11 6000k Cool White Bulb.
The Opti7's also had a temp of 6000k so they were considerably more blue. These Esuse fogs are pure white and bright as hell.

Here's a shot of them,,,,,,and thanks a bunch. Plus the shipping was super fast. A-1 seller.

I dont think my truck is prewired for fog lights. They have the black plastic piece in the fog light spot. Would you include installation instructions? Do they include all of the necessary wiring and a switch?

If only 05-11 where available I'm ready to purchase.. I've tried few bulbs and not too impressed, trying to get into 'optic' designs for efficiency.. any suggestions?

    cheers

I tried these Opti7's and was not too impressed. Not a good pattern and not bright enough for me. And I bought 6000k and they are way too blue. Just my 2 cents.

Thought about it... I did that to current setup: PIAA 510s inside factory fogs (no lens), but these are at a different lens angle and not 'parallel' with factory housing...

So these lights do not look blue when in use? I hate the blue tint. I want white.
