2nd Gen wheels on 1st gen Tacoma? Noob Question...

Hey All,
I have a 2004 Tacoma double cab TRD, which has 16" stock wheels with stock tires -265/70 16.

I saw some 2nd gen 16" wheels with the same tire size 265/70 16:




Has anyone tried to them on their 1st gen Tacoma TRD? I searched but could not find any pictures.


Really do not want to lift or mess with putting bigger wheels and spacers...thoughts?

Hi Guys....noob question...
I have a 2004 4x4 which has stock 265/70 16 wheels/tires.

I found some 2015 Tacoma 4x4 16" wheels, but the tire size on them are P245/75R16....

Do you think they will fit fine? Doesanyone here have this set-up on their 1st gen Tacoma?

Excellent! How do you like them? I am guessing you did not have to use any spacers or had and rubbing issues right? Do you have any pictures of them on your truck?

i just installed these rims on my 04 with new BF Goodrich AT KO2's and I'm rubbing very slightly on the upper control arm and hitting the frame when fully locked. I'm running 265/75/16 with a 3" lift. I'm going to order some spidertrax wheel spacers to solve that problem. also these rims are a little more tucked into the fender it seems so the spacers will also give it a better stance.

 

3/4" BORA spacers will fix the issue. I used the same size Cooper ATP tires on my 4Runner and it didn't take much to solve the rubbing problem.
