ive been doing some research on this forum because ive been throwing the idea of a TRD or aem intake for my taco, i had a 90 supra turbo years back( in know , no comparison) and during that build up the first two things that went were the factory intake(swapped to the HKS) and exhaust(custom 3 in d.p, 1st cat delete running to a magnaflow muffler, i remember how incredible she sounded under boost, which influenced my decision on the muffler for my taco. Ive read where the 4.0 liter can have lean a/f issues with a CAI, and wanted a honest opinion. will this do more harm then good or be benefical? i know im not going to gain a 50 h.p lol, but im just curious. any of yall with a CAI wanna chime in? THANKS!

Where does Airaid relocate your MAF? Is it on the backside of the tube?

Here's my Volant & scoop. I charted my first three tank's mileage. I'm charting my first tank with the CAI and look forward to comparing the two sets of data.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Snorkel it. More bang for your buck (minus cutting into your fenders...)

    Gross lol.

How do you think that would work following in dust...seems like a poor choice for offroad use

Which? The AFE or the snorkel? Snorkels were designed to actually help with dust, not water. We just use them for water.

The AFE and those other types (depending who you talk to) have been shown to cause extra silica in the oil. Keep in mind, this is only a few people who have actually sent their oils off to be tested.

Works fine for me in off road condition as long as I'm not directly behind someone. In heavy rain fall, not one issue.
