Best tire for a 6 inch lift?

He's getting a 6in lift, which most likely be a drop bracket lift of some sort. He probably doesn't do very much hardcore offroading so 1 or 2in of rim size won't matter too much.

 

Yeah I don't do a lot of off-roading maybe 5 a year

 

That's going to be a slick ride once you get a 6in on it. What lift are you planning on getting?

285/75 18? Good or should I go into the 315s

 

285/75/r18 will be a 33" which can look a little funky with a 6in lift. 315/75/r16 is a 35" which will look better IMO on a 6in.

Be warned though, with the 35s" you will have to do a little bit of trimming and you will probably have to cut your cab mounts. Google "Tacoma cab mount chop" for more info on that if you don't know what it is already

with at pro comp 17x 8 inch rim.

If you really thinking of wheeling hard. Then i would strongly advise not going with a 6 inch lift.

Run at least 35's, preferably 37's.
if you run 37's get 16.5 inch wheels so you can run mil-surp tires.

37's just seem like bad news on the wheel bearings hell even 35's are.

 

But you'd be running 37s, which is way awesome.
