Hey guys, I'm Jake. I'm 26, married, and live in the Triad area in North Carolina. I'm expecting my first child in September, and am pretty excited about becoming a dad.

I've already made a few posts asking some things on here and have gotten to like these forums already.

I just recently bought a Radiant Red 2008 DCSB 4x2 PreRunner SR5 with 89k miles on it. It came with a 17432 flowmaster system on it and sounds pretty awesome to me, it's definitely broken in.

Current wishlists/projects are a new radio to replace the stock, an LED light bar in the lower grille, and a paint-match Tacoma raptor-style mesh grille.

The issues I have with pulling the trigger on some of these is the ease of replacement and installation.

The radio is fairly straight-forward and not really a concern, but replacing the grille and wiring/installing the LED light bars is a lot to undertake for someone like me who doesn't have a whole lot of experience with changing my oil let alone doing modifications/parts work on vehicles.

Hopefully I can find write ups and maybe even local help with some of this.

I look forward to talking with you guys! Below is the obligatory side-view picture of my new ride.

Welcome to the site. Im also eventually going to find a light bar for my truck. I attached a few threads im subd to for info, but there are alot of others out there. You just got to dig through the search bar. If you havent already found the NC tacomas thread then disregard, but i attached it anyway. If you ask around, people on this site are pretty friendly and you very may well find someone in your area who might be able to help you with your mods. Im the same way, i required alot of assistance with mechanical crap lol.

Nice looking truck with some low miles. Enjoy and welcome again!!

Right, just remember to bring an open pocketbook, and use words like "safety related" and "enhanced functionality" when describing uprgades to the wife.
