I definitely have a squeak or creaking during flex off road. Don't really know exactly where it coming from, but it seems like the leafs. You can hear it in the videos I took a couple months ago in my build thread.

My expos did that for a few months as well. It eventually went away, or I just can't hear it anymore haha

Lithium grease is supposed to help, or you can do what this guy did and put some bicycle tubes in between the leafs...

make sure all your vertical side plastic pieces aren't worn through already. u bolts are tight? lift up the truck and hammer in a pry bar between the leaves with the anti squeal pads on the very ends. throw a little grease in there after you clean out the dirt. it makes a mess but wipe off any excess and I don't have any problems.

its weird cause the squeak is when i go over certain bumps, but i cant make the noise jumping around in the back and stuff, it also does it when i push the gas suddenly itll make a tini squeak ive check u joints and greased my drive shaft and it hasnt helped. so im assuming leafs are my problem.

Mine were squeaking like crazy. I sprayed lithium grease on both ends of the bushings and between the springs. Squeak gone for now, not sure how long it'll last but the squeak was annoying

Mine would squeak at "takeoff" as well. Try greasing the main eye bushing

Mine did this as well... turned out to be the springs contacting the exhaust... fixed it by dumping the exhaust right after the muffler

I have had my Dakars on for about 8 months. They squeaked a bit in the first 3 months then quieted down. I still have an intermittent squeak that occurs after an extended period of no precipitation. Yes, I know live in the desert. I drive a lot of dirt and gravel and the dust is very fine. As that fine dust works between the leaves over the course of 3-6 weeks, I start to get a creak when slow-rolling curbs and rock obstacles.

To give you an idea of how far in the fine dirt can work its way in: I had the dakars with AAL for about 6 weeks when I decided I was too ass-high and decided to take out the AAL. When I pulled apart the leaf pack there was dirt/sand/dust/fine grit between the leaves all the way up to the ubolts. And yes, I was torqued to spec.

My fix? Blast the shit out of the leaves with a pressure washer, get all up in there with a 20 degree spray tip. Enough to blast fine debris, but not enough pressure to take the paint of the leaves. 10 minutes of work takes the squeak out for months.

I will also occasionally loosen the nut on the shackle spray some penetrating oil between the bushing and the shackle bolt and jump around in the bed. Maybe once a year. I do this if i start hearing a 'knock' from the rear when slow rolling obstacles. Also works wonders. (ARB doesn't make the greaseable shackles for the shorter pre-'97 leaf packs...I think Marlin Crawler does though??)

    Just my experience.

I wouldn't go and get new leafs just because of squeaking. I can't thing of a single pack hasn't been called out for making noises from somebody.
